Dear diary

Winters are ending soon, the signs of springs can be seen around- The clouds in the sky that look like mare's tails, ropes of long, thin, wispy hair and the pear cherry trees which are about to explode into blizzards of pink petals. This season is known for the colors in the sky as well on the mother earth, and fresh fragrance in the air.

It seems like the perfect season to enjoy life and a good time to find inspiration to live. So, it's the perfect time to fix me, isn't it?

But...

She got distracted by her ringing phone placed on her side table. She answered the phone without checking the ID.

"Yes, Keiran?" she said, immediately, as if she was too sure who it was on the other line.

"I'm fine, thanks for asking."

"Hmm, okay." she waited for him to say something.

"Uh-hmm. What were you doing?" he tried to keep the conversation going.

After a pause, Belle replied, decided not to tell him what she was busy doing. "Nothing. What about you?"

"Well... Nothing really. I just wanted to say goodnight," he scratched the back of his head frustrated because he couldn't come up with an interesting answer.

"Oh! Goodnight then," Belle hung up immediately, without hearing his reply.

"Belle, listen- hello?" before he couldn't stop her from hanging up, the call had already ended.

As the days passed by, everything seemed to be going smooth. There were no awkward moments like- discussing Belle past relationships, Stella never brought that topic again, Keiran strictly told her not to.

Belle tried to spend her time more Keiran as much as she could it felt like he was her cure for time being, she would feel light-hearted, free and happy with him. The colors around her seemed more vibrant and bright as she walked down the street laughing with Keiran, the air seemed fresh and easier for her to breathe but as soon he went away, the feeling of sadness ties around her as if it never left. The heaviness covered her heart again, everything turned dark and scary.

Belle entered her school. It was the first day of March, which was the official month of spring. She knew everyone at school would be celebrating the first day of spring. She, as usual, wasn't wearing anything colorful, even though deep down she knew students would pinpoint her but she couldn't care because she wasn't there to impress them. She knew the person who mattered to her wouldn't mind her dull and boring clothes because he was different.

Belle walked around the hall, looking at students dressed like- a girl had colorful streaks in her hair, another was wearing colorful jewelry, everyone had used some creativity in their outfits to look appropriate and unique. Belle was clearly the odd one out among them. Her black leather jacket and black tights earned her a few dirty stares. She carelessly looked around to look for Keiran, avoiding eye contact with others, but he was nowhere in the building. She decided to wait for him in front of his locker.

"Oh boy! Is she trying to break the stereotypes by dressing up like this," a red-headed girl said to her friend as she passed by. Belle's hand turned into a fist, her blood boiling at her remark. She took some deep breaths and started looking for Keiran once again, trying to walk away from the girls.

'Where is he?'

She thought, walking passed the indoor basketball court, which was empty. After searching for few more minutes, she decided to go out of the school building. She walked opposite to the school, hoping to see him there. She walked through the similar pathway.  She noticed that nothing had really changed about the place. Looking at the similar landscape brought back a sense of nostalgia. She sat on the bench where she always sat every time she visited the park, she took out the diary and started writing in it.
