Keiran was sitting quietly in the plane. He was listening to his favorite music but he wasn't really enjoying it; there was something nagging him continuously. He sighed and took out the ear phone, resting his head on the back of the seat and closing his eyes.

~A few hours ago~

Keiran was heading out of the front door, carrying his luggage. He was going to the airport. The day had finally come: he was going to meet his mother after such a long time.

The cab was already waiting for him outside. He was finally getting in but paused when he heard someone call his name. He turned around and found Belle standing in front of him.

"I'm on time, right?" Belle asked, smiling warmly at him.

"Yeah! I was about to leave for the airport," Keiran replied, looking at her. Something was different in her. Keiran was observing her silently for a moment before it clicked.

She was wearing the dress he bought for her a few days ago, with a small jacket over it and her hair was down—normally she would have tied it back.

For a second, Keiran was still and he couldn't move his mouth. He felt as if something has blocked his windpipe.

Suddenly Belle started laughing. "Knock knock," Belle said, waving her hand in front of his eyes.

"Uh, what?" Keiran blinked, feeling embarrassed.

"I said that I made these for you. The flight might be long, so you can eat them even though they give food in the plane, but I wanted to make something yummy for you as a goodbye gift," she said slowly and clearly, smiling the whole time.

"What is this?" Kerian asked, looking at the box she was holding.

"Food," Belle said quickly.

"Let me take a look," Keiran said, taking the box from her hands.

"No! No, look at them later." Belle stopped him before he could actually open the container.

Keiran look at her, perplexed and then nodded in acceptance, simply holding the box as they stood.

"Okay, well, I’ll leave now. I hope you have a good and relaxing flight. Bye!" she practically sprinted away.

Keiran was staring at her blankly.

"What the hell just happened?" she didn't even let him say a word and she just ran away.
After reaching the airport and getting in the plane, he found his seat and sat down.
Keiran was still holding the box in his hands while sitting in the plane. He opened the box and saw chocolate muffins inside. In each muffin, a letter was written with strawberry sauce. Spelled out, it said:
T H A N K Y O U

A small note was also placed inside. He took it out and started reading it

Dear Keiran,
I know you're going away just for few days, but I don't know why I feel like you’re never going to return. I know I sound crazy but it’s true; I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to tell you that you're the best thing that’s happened to me in a long time. I don’t think you know the little things you do for me—the way you care about me and even notice the tiniest thing that could hurt me— it’s more than enough for me.
Thank you so much.

Keiran closed the box. Okay, now that was something he wasn't expecting. He was feeling uneasy—he couldn't turn back time and fix the mistake of reading her diary.

"Oh God. Why did you put me in such a difficult position?” Keiran muttered to himself as he took out his ear phones and started playing his favorite song.

~Flashback ends~
