*Mazy's POV*

The doctor had dropped mum and the others off at Bannerman Road. So it was just me, him and our daughter. It was so strange being with him and our child after all the time I was preparing to be a single parent. Especially since that day when I found out I was pregnant and then ran away.

The Doctor had gone into the kitchen to whip up some food leaving me and our baby to be alone to wonder around.

I had given her a little tour of the TARDIS and she seemed to like it.

"Finally this is the control room," I smiled as I stroked my free hand over the controls lightly causing the TARDIS to hum. "This is where your daddy spends most of his time when he isn't ruining custard and fish fingers,"

I moved around the room until I found the seat.

"Your so beautiful and I so don't deserve you," I whispered as I looked down at the tiny infant in my arms who was staring back up at me with huge green eyes. I could feel tears welling up at the sight of my gorgeous baby. "I am going to be the best mum that I can ever be because you are so precious to me little one,"

I thought about everything thing that I had been through in my life but none of that seemed to matter now that I had my girl. She was the most important thing in my world now other than the doctor. I was going to ensure that I protected her.

She began to wriggle in my arms until she was comfortable in the crock of my arm before she fell asleep.

"I love you," I whispered

"I love you too," a voice replied behind me and I turned around to see the doctor holding a sandwich and a chocolate milkshake.

"Love you more," I smiled as he placed my food on the console and sat beside me.

"I love you most,"

"She has you eyes," I informed as I handed the doctor our daughter. "She's just so perfect. Just like you,"

"What shall we call her?" Mused the doctor as I took a bite of my peanut butter and jam sandwich.

"I don't know," I sighed as I looked down at my precious girl "Athena, the goddess of Wisdom and Courage ," I thought aloud.

"Athena it is then," the doctor said as kissed my temple. "Athena Smith," he added.

"Athena River Smith," I smiled lightly as I stroked my forefinger down my daughter's cheek. "River after River Song, your mad auntie," I smiled.

"Everything is perfect now," cheered the doctor "You two can travel in the T.A.R.D.I.S and we can be a fam-" he sang as he pressed buttons on the control panel.

"I wanna go home," I felt myself crying. The funny blue box that's travels through time had always been my home. After all she made me who I was but she wasn't where I needed to be. She was the safest place I knew but she wasn't solid enough to support us and fight alien forces.

"What?" The doctor said sheer shock within his voice. "This is your home,"

"Not anymore!" I protested "No, she can't be Athena's home because she needs stability," I said calmer as tears built up in my eyes. Surprisingly Athena stayed fast asleep in my arms.

"I love you Mazy, you can't leave," the doctor sniffled as he pulled me into his arms.

"I have to..." I muttered into his chest as my tears spread across his shirt.

"Please-"

"No," I sighed as I wiped my eyes on the back of my hand. "This is something that I have to do so I don't hurt you anymore,"

"Hurt me!" He shouted causing our daughter to scream in my arms "So leaving me won't do that? Oh no that will be fine!"

"Shhh!" I put my finger towards his lip.

"Don't shush me!" He frowned "That doesn't work on me,"

"Your being a jerk and I am going back to my mum at least she doesn't shout at me!"

"Look I'm sorry Mazy please-" he began but I cut him off.

"You don't understand," another tear dropped from my chin.

"I'm trying to because I can't lose you again. I need you in my life," the doctor pleased as he took a hold of my hand "When you left it was like someone tore out one of my hearts,"

"Okay," I said lowly "I won't leave completely we can still be together,"

"Then you'll stay in the TARDIS?" He asked his eyes lighting up like a child on Christmas Day.

"No, I am going to my mother's-"

"But-"

"Yes there is a but because you can pick me and Athena up once a week. Let's say every Wednesday and we can have an adventure on that day but on Thursday's we go back to Bannerman road," I explained "We can see where it leads from there okay?"

"Yesh," the doctor smirked "So are we still together then? You know,"

"Yeah we can see if we can make a long distance relationship work," I smiled "I am doing this because I love you and I don't want us to lose what we have,"

"You don't have to keep explaining because I understand" this time I interrupted him by pressing my lips to his.

"Love you," I we said once we broke for air.
