*Mazy's POV*

Like agreed I waited until the next morning for the doctor to drop me off at my mothers.

"I love you," I smiled as I left the TARDIS. "I will see you soon big blue," I uttered to the TARDIS.

"I love you both," the doctor replied sadly as he gave me and Athena a kiss each on our foreheads. My heart fell as I looked into my boyfriends eyes seeing him so hurt.

"I will see you in a week," I stated trying to lighten the mood as I held our daughter close to my chest. "I do you love you," I added as I pulled the time lord close to me.

"I know and I love you you both so much," he sighed pausing for a moment. "Take care of you mummy Athena," the doctor smiled as he released me.

"I'll see you soon,"

"Not if I see you first," was his reply before the humming of the TARDIS disappeared and I was standing alone on the corner of Bannerman Road.

"Time to meet your grandma," a whispered to my child as I hesitated outside the entrance to my mother's driveway.

Her car wasn't there...

"Sarah won't be back till late she's gone to find the latest story," informed a lady's voice from behind.

I quickly whipped around to see a woman that looked like Rani. She had a soft smile on her face and I could see that she was eager to know who I was.

"Oh okay, thanks I guess?" Mumbled as I rocked Athena in my arms.

"It's no bother sweetie," the lady smiled "I'm Geeta Chandra from across the street,"

"Oh so your Rani's mum," I thought aloud. "Well I'm Mazy Smith," I added.

"Yeah I'm Rani's mum, but Smith your not a relation of Sarah's are you,"

"She's my mum," I side smiled. Athena began getting grizzy in my arms so I placed a dummy in her mouth from my pocket. I was just like the doctor my pockets contained the most amazingly random artefacts.

"Oh yeah now I think about it my husband did mention something," she muttered. "And who's this princess," she said changing the subject.

"This is Athena," I stated as my daughter fell back to sleep while I swayed with her in my arms.

"Well she's a little cutie, if you ever need a babysitter you know where I am," Geeta beamed causing me to smile. I had only just met this lady and she was already being so nice.

"Thank you," I smiled as I turned around so see a car pulling into the driveway. "I'll be off but thank you again for your generosity,"

"Anytime," Rani's mum called after me as I crossed the street.

I felt my baby wriggle in my arms as I placed my case onto the doorstep and knocked.

"She's gonna love you so much," I cooed down at my newborn child.

After I knocked I heard muffled voices behind the oak door and the shuffling of feet.

"Not long now," I thought as my breath hitched in my throat. I wasn't sure why I was nervous. It had only been days since I was standing on this very door step.

"Mazy!" Cheered Rani and she pulled me into a bone crunching hug.

"Careful," I soothed as I indicated the the sleeping bundle of pink blankets in my arms.

"Oh yes, can I hold her?" Rani eagerly asked as she pushed me into the living room.

"Of course, Athena River Smith meet your auntie Rani," I nodded as I placed my baby in her arms.

"Athena such a sweet name,"

"Your back," screeched my mum excitedly as she ran into the room. "Oh where's my beautiful granddaughter,"

"Here she is," Rani whispered.

"Hey don't I get a squish?" Clyde asked as he walked over the me and pulled me into a side hug.

"Of course, uncle Clyde can get in line behind grandma," I smirked.

I perched myself on the couch as my family and friends shared out my daughter between them. It is amazing to be part of a family who shares the same secrets. I loved the feeling of being loved. I smiled to myself as I look over at my child who looked blissfully unaware of the world that she was going to be growing up to. Although the world is an amazing place it also inhibits a lot of horrors to which I had seen a lot of both human and extraterrestrial. I myself had become something more than human.
