Castiel couldn't wait for school to be over, he was going to hang out with Dean and he was ecstatic. Once school was over he went to his locker an a attempt to put his books away. "Your little boyfriends not here to protect you, know is he." Castiel heard a grimacing voice from behind him and immediately knew it was Crowley.

"He's not my boyfriend, he's the only person who's been nice to me since i came to the wretched school, filled with terrible people like you" Cas spat.

He immedietly regretted it. Crowley punched Cas in the face with brutal force, making his lip bleed.

Before Crowley could do anything else a teacher named mr. Hendrickson came over and dragged him away. Once it was clear Cas ran out of that building as fast as he could. He went to the nearest scum bar he could find, and got some shots. He had lied and said that he was 21 knowing that he was only seventeen.

The bar needed the money so the bartender gave Cas as many shots as he asked for. When he was so drunk that his head was spinning, Cas went home sulky.

He walked upstairs and went into his room slamming the door behind me. Cas called dean and as soon as he picked up Cas asked Dean if he could run away with him.

Dean immediately asked what was wrong and Cas didn't have time to explain it to him, so he hung up then he put his phone down on the bed side table ignoring the buzzing noises coming from it. Cas then opened his bedside table drawer and pulled out a small metal object and a bottle of pain killers.

As Dean was getting dressed for his day out with Cas, he heard his phone start ringing and it was no other than castiel Novak. Will you run away with me was all Castiel said as soon as Dean had picked up the phone. Dean got worried because his voice sounded slurred as if he was drunk. Dean may have only known Cas a short amount of time, but he did not seem like the type of person to drink.

He immedietly got this twisting feeling in his gut and he knew something was wrong. "Are you ok" Dean asked him and Cas just hung up the phone.

Dean started to get really scared and before he knew what was happening he was in baby and driving to Cas's house. Dean didnt know why he cared so much. He had never cared so much about anyone.

i think I'm falling in love Dean thought to himself as he was driving way over the speed limit to get to Cas's house.

When Dean arrived the door was unlocked so he let himself in. Dean didn't see anyone downstairs so he went upstairs and he opened the first door and was absolutely shocked at what he saw.

It was cas and he was lying on the floor in a pool of blood, a bottle of painkillers spilled opened next to his uncouncios body. Dean picked Cas up and put him in the car driving as fast as he possibly could and drove to the hospital.

When he arrived at the hospital they took cas away on a stretcher and Dean was left waiting in the waiting room.

He wasn't worried about sam because he had already told Dean that he was spending the night at jess house. A few hours later a doctor came out and asked if Dean was here for castiel.

Dean nodded his head rapidly and stood up as the doctor directed Dean to Cas's hospital room. The doctor stopped Dean right outside and said " before you go in i need to tell you something"

"He's very damaged, it may be hard for you to see him like this" Dean just ignored him and walked in taken back by what he saw.

Cas's skin was paler than a peice of chalk and his eyes were void of the blue shine that were usually there. They were almost gray, like the most stormy day. His physical state wasn't the worst part though, when Dean looked at Cas he saw a shell of a once good man. He saw a man who didn't want to be alive.

This was not the man who Dean became best friends with or the man that Dean fell in love with.
