Dean POV

At school the next day I tried my best not to leave to Cas's side. The only time I did was to go to classes that we didn't have together but I would meet him in the hallway right afteclass we walked down the hallway I could tell Cas was nervous about Crowley.

I intertwined our fingers and gave his hand a squeeze to let him know I was there. After a minute he squeezed back which made me smile.

We were walking out of school our hands intertwined and as we walked to the car I saw Sammy sitting in front of the car waiting for us. He had a black eye.

"Who was it" I practically yelled.

"This boy named alistair"

"Im going to kill him" I said angrily. As I started walking back towards school Sam grabbed my arm and spun me around.

"Don't Lucifer beat him up when he saw him punching me."

"Ok, just let me know if he does it again." Same nodded his head and we walked back to the car.

We drove to my house, when I heard a rustling inside. Just great I thought dad was home.

I told Cas and Sam to wait in the car as I walked in. Dad was drunk as usual. I tried to calm him down when he said " I heard you let that fag live here"

"His name is Castiel and yes just for a little while"

"well kick him out or ill kick you out" dad no John said as he punched me in the stomach

"im tired of dealing with your bs, you call him a fag butJohn what you didn't know is I'm one too, me and Sam are leaving and were never coming back."

His mouth was open in shock and so was mine i had never stood up to him before.

I ran out the door before he got another chance to hit me and i got into the car and drove off.

I parked a little bit down the street. "Were going to be staying at bobbys ok"

Sam nodded his head and Cas just looked confused.

I called bobby and he said yes after all hes been practically begging me and Sam to come live with him for years now.

We stopped at a motel and we all stayed in on room. same got a bed and me and has shared the other one.

When same went to get ice i told cas that booby said he was welcome to stay as well.

"what would i do without you" cas said.

"crash and burn"I responded.

The next morning we got to bobbys house which was actually closer to the school weve been going to the Johns house so we got to stay at the same school which Sam was of course happy about.

Bobby gave each of us our own room and his wife Ellen was happy to take us in. After we got settled we all sat at the table to eat dinner.

We sat and talked it was the best night I've had since mom was alive and i savored it.

We made jokes, we told stories, and that night i learned family doesn't end with blood.

i really didnt want it to end, but i knew it had to.
