I have decided to write an alternate reality of Hela and Vegeta. Things will be... different.
Frieza was cast away from Planet Vegeta before he could gain control so the Saiyans are thriving. Kakarot is a lower level Saiyan but he has been quick to show everyone his power. Hela, on the other hand, was a different story. Her parents raised her in the harsh desert, away from the other Saiyans. From a young age the parents of Hela, Khan and Emiliana Salvain, knew she was destined to be great. Hela's powers were raised higher than any normal Saiyan child. So, when she was old enough, they moved closer to the Palace of King Vegeta.
So, no one has to read His Saiyan in order to enjoy this. But if you have read His Saiyan, be prepared for a different experience. Hela never met humans so her brain works differently. Kakarot never lost his memories so his attitude will be different. But worry not, they will be as powerful as ever!
