Hela sent a beam so powerful it made the ground shake. Cooler was sent flying, crying out in pain as his body was taken over by her powerful, purple blast. Hela was on him in an instant, kicking and punching the alien with more power than she had ever held. A smile was sickenly stuck on her face as she was easily hurting Cooler. Power never felt so good, she thought.
This was it, Hela thought. As she held up her hand, forming an enormous ball of energy, she couldn't help but be disappointed in how easy of an opponent he became once she reached Super Saiyan Two. Then her thoughts were brought to a shaking halt. Echoing throughout the world was a terrible scream.
It made her bones shake. Power ran through the world. It was like a few minutes prior to when she went into her second transformation. Looking behind her, she looked for the source. Her eyes shot wide as realization struck her. Vegeta. Something was wrong.
"Playtime is over I suppose," Cooler sang out before using his tail to swipe Hela's feet.
She was too distracted to see it coming. Cooler used her fragile state of mind to hit her with all his strength in the face, sending her into the dirt. Hela recovered and went on the attack, she tried to hit him but her mind kept listening to the echoing scream of her husband. A sinister smile was chiseled on Cooler's purple face as he managed to hit the Saiyan over and over again. Her focus was weak and she scolded herself for it.
Hela managed to catch a punch and twist his wrist, making Cooler grimace in pain. She kicked him into a rock but he recovered fast. His bruised body bulged out as he took a deep breath. Hela went for another attack but he managed to evade her. The Saiyan woman was burning fuel too fast to keep up anymore. Cooler knew her body wasn't used to so much power and her speed and strength began to slowly deteriorate.
He managed to grab ahold of the woman. This time he wasn't going to throw her. She sent a beam of energy at his head but he simply cocked it to one side, letting the blast narrowly miss him. Slamming her into the ground, he grinned.
"You're going to die like every other Saiyan in this universe," Cooler bellowed out, holding Hela to the ground, "And your death will be the most glorifying to me."
Trying her hardest, Hela tried to get out of his grip. He was holding her to the ground and repeatedly hitting her. She could feel the blood pouring from her nose and the strength leaving her body. Finally, Cooler put his hand inches from her face and gave her a smile. Slowly, a bright yellow ball formed in his hand.
Hela hadn't noticed the yelling had stopped. The Saiyan was too busy trying to get out of his grip. There was no way she would die without a fight. She hit him with energy blasts but his tail would absorb most of them. Finally, the ball was big enough to kill her. A crackle of laughter came from Cooler.
"You were a great opponent, it's a shame you fought for the wrong team. I'd have made an exception in letting you stay alive when Frieza would have destroyed Planet Vegeta,"
A roaring energy wave caught both of their attentions. Cooler turned to look but was hit with a fist. Prince Vegeta was there, his hair golden and eyes blue as he screamed at Cooler.
"YOU KILLED MY FATHER," He yelled, punching the alien left and right.
Cooler had no time to react. He took every hit. Any time he tried to dodge, Vegeta was there with a counter move that sent Cooler into the dirt. Hela struggled to stand up, her bones clearly broke from the intense fight. Vegeta sent a large energy ball at Cooler, sending him into the dirt.
Vegeta didn't stop his blast until he was sure Cooler was dead. Hela limped to him and put a hand gently on his shoulder as he breathed heavily, his hands falling to his side. Cooler wasn't moving. Glancing at the woman next to him, he frowned deeply.
"I was too late," Vegeta managed to say.
She shook her head, "Don't blame yourself for something Cooler did. Cooler killed your father, not you."
"I don't know how to be king,"
Hela looked at the Prince of all Saiyans. It was true, he was the next in line to be the King. He was supposed to still be in training. The Saiyans would riot to think a Saiyan so young would be their new leader. So, with a small smile, she pulled him into a hug.
"You'll be a great king. Let's get Kakarot to come back here and pick us up. Now that their leader is dead, Planet Vegeta will be in the Saiyan's control once more. We need to show them what happened to their King and give him a proper burial,"
Vegeta nodded solemnly. He helped Hela to Cooler's base and sat her down as he looked for a way to make a transmission. It took an hour to find a way to talk to Kakarot and over three hours until they reached the planet. Eyes wide, Kakarot jumped out of the ship to help Hela once he noticed how hurt she was. Vegeta carried the covered body of his father to the storage area below the small ship.
"What happened?" Bardock questioned from the pilot seat.
"Vegeta saved my ass," Hela laughed.
"Let's get you home," Gine said, "Let's get all of us home."
