"What is that?" Hela asked, pointing to a small fleet of ships surrounding Planet Vegeta. The group had meet with Bardock, Raditz, and Nappa on a moon a week previously. Prince Vegeta was out voted on searching for his father, everyone else wanted to know what was happening at Planet Vegeta. Upon closer inspection, it seemed that there were Frieza's ships. But Hela could feel every energy source on the planet and none of them were high enough to be Frieza's, not to mention he was dead.
"It's Frieza's fleet but Frieza is no where in sight," Bardock explained, "But before we left we managed to hear that someone is on their way."
"Did you manage to get a name?" Hela questioned.
"No,"
Hela frowned, "fuckin useless. I'm going on the planet."
Vegeta got up from his seat, "what did you say?"
"I'm going to take a pod to Planet Vegeta. Someone has to get information,"
"It's too dangerous, Frieza's goons are going to be everywhere,"
"Then I'll kill them," Hela commented, grabbing her cloak from the captain's chair, "But someone needs to get on our planet and figure out who the hell is coming."
Vegeta shook his head, "you're not going alone."
"I know, Kakarot is coming with me,"
Kakarot spat out the food he had been stuffing in his mouth, "what?"
Hela smirked, "we'll lower our power levels and stay in the shadows. Our pods will land in the desert, where they won't be found, and we will be back in no time. If anything bad happens we will be out of there in no time."
A frown formed on the prince's face. Bardock didn't even like the idea, it was clear no one liked the idea. Nappa and Raditz were looking worried at Hela as she grabbed a scouter, putting it on. No one said a word though. Not even the prince himself stopped Hela as she walked towards the pods. Opening one, she looked back at Kakarot. He hasn't moved.
"Come on," She snapped.
"I don't think this is a good idea," Kakarot confesses.
"It's not," Hela said with a smile, "but what's a little risk in the greater scheme of things? Keep the ship in the dark, we will be back before you know it."
Kakarot sighed and stood up, stretching his tired arms. Walking over to the second pod, he gave Hela one last worried look before climbing inside his own pod. Climbing into her pod, Hela instantly called Kakarot with her scouter. She began touching switches and buttons, starting the pod.
"Keep your lights off and your power level as low as you can get it. I want it to look like we're a glitch in the radar,"
"Where are we landing?"
"Sending you the coordinates right now, it's where me and you would train on the hottest days,"
He laughed over the comms, "No one should find our pods there, it's burning hot!"
"That's exactly why we're landing there."
Hela sent her pod off into space. There were no lights on, making it look as if nothing were in space. The only reason she knew Kakarot was behind her was the little glimmer that reflected off his glass when Planet Vegeta's sun hit it just right. An hour of slow, calculated flying went by before they reached the atmosphere.
Their landing was smooth. Once they entered the atmosphere Hela had managed to keep a steady speed, despite the intense gravity, making them almost invisible to the naked eye. She knew they weren't spotted when her pod popped open and there were no Saiyans or Frieza minions there to greet them.
Putting up her hood, Hela walked over to Kakarot's pod as it opened. He was wearing a hood as well, which only made him look silly. Rolling her eyes she flew into the air, scanning their surroundings. The castle wasn't that far away to her calculations. Landing back on the sand, Hela sighed.
"Let's walk," Hela states, "it will be the safest."
Kakarot's eyes went wide, "walk? That's like an hour walk in the sun!"
Hela laughed as she began walking, "keep complaining and you won't have legs to walk with,"
Kakarot chuckled, "you'll have to beat me in a fight first."
An eyebrow raised, "I do believe I've beat you several times."
"Only like ten times,"
"Out of how many fights?"
"Um... Thirteen,"
Hela smiled triumphantly, "exactly. I've won the majority."
The sun was beating down on them now. They walked quickly though, their hoods saving their head from the suns hurtful waves. The sky was peppered with new ships landing almost every ten minutes, making the two Saiyans worried. There were a lot of forces for someone with a dead leader. Soon enough they were in town, which hardly had any Saiyans in the streets. Looking at windows, she could see Saiyans hiding in the shadows, staring at Frieza's people with anger and fear.
"Saiyans are supposed to be fearless," Hela heard a goon laugh, "look at them, bowing down like the monkeys they are."
Her fist clenched at the words. Kakarot put a hand on Hela's shoulder, letting her know her energy was rising. Taking a deep breath, she let it fall back down. Walking past the goons, Hela walked over to a familiar home. Kakarot's home. Gine was inside, Kakarot's mother, cutting meat.
"Mother," Kakarot said, uncovering his head once he was out of sight.
Gine looked over, her face full of surprise, "Kakarot, what are you doing here?"
"We're trying to figure out what the hell is going on," Hela explained, taking off her own hood.
Gine looked at Hela, sadness in her eyes, "King Cold heard about his son's failure and you killing him."
"So?" Hela snapped, "I could kill him in my sleep."
Shaking her head, Gine sighed, "He's taken the King. And now he's sending his first born here."
"King cold has another son?" Hela asked.
Nodding her head, Gine looked around to make sure no one was around, "We heard his name is Cooler."
