After three hours of trying to sleep, Nick finally rolled out of bed at 4:30 in the morning. After making himself a cup of coffee, Nick walked into the living room. He was planning on finishing Pretty Woman, but when he found Demi laying on the couch, asleep, he couldn’t help but gaze at her.

Even when she slept, she was drop dead gorgeous. Nick reached down with his free hand and gently moved a piece of hair that was covering her face behind her ear. Demi slightly stirred, but she stayed asleep. Nick smiled down at her and memories of last night started playing in his head.

He couldn’t believe how idiotic he had acted when Demi kissed him. Lord knows that Nick had wanted that to happen since he first saw her leaning against the street light on Middlebelt and Eight Mile. He couldn’t fall asleep last night because of that kiss. He kept replaying it in his head and regretted how he reacted to the kiss. Now, she’d probably never kiss him again.

Maybe I could kiss her, Nick thought. He starred at Demi’s lips as she continued her slumber. Was there some way he could kiss her right now and not wake her up? Nick shook his head. Of course not.

He needed to get his mind off Demi and how much he desired for her lips against his. Deciding to finish watching Pretty Woman in the basement, Nick walked over to the DVD player and ejected the disc.

"Nick?" He heard someone mumble. Nick looked over his shoulder to see Demi run her fingers through her long, black hair.

He smiled and faced her. “Hey sleepy head.” He greeted.

"What time is it?" Demi quietly said, half asleep.

"4:30." Nick answered, taking a drink of his coffee.

"Why are we up so early?"

Nick shrugged. “I couldn’t sleep. What’s your excuse?”

Demi covered her mouth with her hand as she yawned. “I have no idea.” She answered

Nick let out a small laugh. “Would you like me to make you breakfast?” He offered.

"You cook?"

"From time to time."

"What do you guys have?"

"Pretty much everything. We’re big breakfast people."

"Do you have pancakes?"

"Of course. You can’t be breakfast people without pancake batter." Nick answered.

"Then let’s get cooking." Demi said with a smile on her face.

One of Nick’s eyebrows rose as he took a step closer to Demi. “Let’s?”

"I’m not letting you have all the fun." Demi remarked, standing from the couch. After she stretched, Demi sent Nick a flirty smile and walked to the kitchen.

A grin appeared on Nick’s face. This morning wasn’t as awkward as he thought it was going to be. In fact, it was going quite smoothly. “Oh, Pubes.” He heard Demi sing from the kitchen.

Nick smiled and headed toward the kitchen. Whatever game they were playing, Nick was loving the way that Demi played.

When he entered the kitchen, Nick was greeted by the sight of Demi searching in one of their cabinets, bent over. Good thing she was in his baggy clothes. If she was still in her hooker clothes, who knows what else would’ve popped up. Nick closed his eyes. ‘Oh, Lord. Give me the strength to stay out of temptation.’ He quickly prayed. He opened his eyes to find Demi standing up and looking at him.
