The rest of the game was pretty uneventful. The Wings ended up losing 3 to 1 which was a huge disappointment, no one likes losing when they’re home, but they were still leading in the series. For the car ride back home, NIck drove with Dem in the passenger seat while Joe and Erica dry humped each other in the back seat.

It was about a twenty minute drive once they got out of the parking structure traffic to get to Erica’s shop. Nick put the car in park and waited for Erica to get off Joe’s lap.

"So, are you getting out here or coming back to my house?" Nick asked curious as to what Demi had planned from here on out. They hadn’t talked about this yet. All that was said was that she would go to the Red Wings game with them and now that was over, so what would happen next? Nick prayed to God that she would come back to his house. He wanted to spend all the time in the world with her.

Demi didn’t even give it a second’s thought. “I’m coming back to your house I thought?” She answered. It was more of a question than a statement.

Nick could feel a smile creeping onto his face. “Okay, yeah, sure. I just didn’t know if you and Erica talked at the game about you staying here or if you did want to come back to my house-” Demi interrupted Nick’s rambling.

"How could I have talked to Erica? Telepathically? Her lips were kind of busy all night." Demi joked, making Nick laugh.

"Well, when we eventually get back," Nick sent a glare to the backseat. "My mom will probably make us all go to bed. Wait up for like an hour and then I’ll come get you and then we can finish that Pretty Woman movie downstairs…if you want to."

"Sounds like a good plan." Demi said with a smile.

Nick looked in the backseat and saw that Erica and Joe had not separated yet. He banged on the car ceiling. “Come on, Joe! We’re already late and Dad’s gonna kill us. Wrap it up.” The noise startled Joe and Erica and they jumped.

"Asshole." Joe mumbled under his breath. Nick heard it but chose to ignore it. All he wanted to do was get home without getting into too much trouble.

They all said their goodbyes to Erica and then Nick drove back to his house. Joe raced up to his room when they walked in the door, so he missed getting a lecture from Mrs. Jonas about how when they have a curfew they have to stick to it. Nick was sure that his mom was going to say that Demi wasn’t going to be able to spend the night, but thank God that didn’t happen.

And, just as Nick predicted in the car, they were sent to bed. Demi laid on Frankie’s bed for an hour - possibly the longest hour of her life - until Nick cracked the door open and gave her a smile. She couldn’t have ran down the stairs faster.

Nick laughed as he watched her get positioned on the couch. He walked over to the DVD player and placed it disc on the tray. “Where did we leave off again?”

"The short guy was humping Julia Roberts."

A snort came out of Nick. “Oh yeah. Now I remember.” He came and sat right next to Demi and placed his arm on the back of the couch, which was behind Demi. His arm wasn’t exactly on her shoulders, but it almost was and Demi couldn’t help but smile about it.

Nothing else eventful happened during the movie, except for when Demi placed her head on Nick’s shoulder and he was sure the butterflies were going to explode from his stomach like in that Alien movie. When the movie ended, Nick looked down at Demi - who was still on his shoulder.

"So I guess it’s time for bed?" Nick asked more than stated. Demi raised an eyebrow at him. "I mean, it is like two." He didn’t want to go to bed though. He just had no idea what else to say.

Demi looked up at him and just stared in his eyes for what felt like an eternity. “But I’m not tired.” She whispered.

Nick couldn’t handle it anymore. He cupped her cheeks and pressed his lips against hers. It was something he’d wanted to do since he’d first seen her and after getting a taste of it last night and earlier tonight, he needed it.

Demi needed it too. She kissed back and soon their tongues were wrestling for dominance. Not breaking the kiss, Demi spun onto Nick’s lap and began to unbutton the buttons on Nick’s plaid shirt.

Regrettably, Nick pulled away. “Wait, I can’t do this.”

Demi looked at him. “You seemed pretty into it.” She commented.

"Oh no, the kissing I’m definitely into. That we can keep doing." Demi laughed at that. "But I can’t go any further."

"Why not?"

Nick took a deep breath. “Well, it’s kind of awkward with you straddling my waist, no offense.” Demi got off and waited for him to continue. “I’m not having sex until marriage.” He announced.

Demi didn’t respond for a second. “Why?”

"It’s a Christian thing. We believe that sex is something to be shared between a man and wife. So, I want my first time to be with the woman I’m going to spend the rest of my life with. I hope you’re not taking offense to this in anyway."

Demi shook her head. “None at all.” She thought for a moment. “So, you’re not going to have sex until you’re married?” Nick nodded his head. “That’s actually really sweet.” Then, she lightly slapped his arm. “Where were you three years ago?”

Nick just shrugged while he laughed. “God has perfect timing. I guess he wanted us to get to know each other while you were a prostitute.”

"So, can we get back to kissing then?" Demi asked. This made Nick laughed, but then he leaned in and started to kiss her again. While they made out, a thought popped into Demi’s head: maybe she didn’t want to be a prostitute anymore.
