"Welcome to la casa de Jonas." Nick said in a Spanish accent as he and Demi entered the house.
Demi looked around, amazed. “This is huge!”
Nick chuckled. “That’s what she said.” He joked with a huge smile on his face.
Demi made sure he heard him right, then she laughed. “Aren’t you supposed to be Mr. Church Boy?”
Nick shrugged as he set his keys down on the kitchen counter. “Doesn’t mean I can’t tell a perverted joke every now and then. And besides,” Nick turned to face Demi and leaned his back on one of the cabinets. “You set yourself up for that one.” He teased with a wink.
Demi giggled. “So, where’s Joe?” She asked.
Nick laughed. “I had a feeling you weren’t staying for church.” Demi gave an innocent smile. “I have no idea. His room maybe?”
"And…where’s his room?"
Nick let out another laugh. “Nice try. But you’re not going in there alone.” Nick pushed off the counter and nodded his head toward the staircase. “Come on.” He said, leading the way. Demi smiled. ‘This is going to be easier than I thought’ she thought.
When they were about halfway up the stars, the front door flew open and in came Mr. and Mrs. Jonas with Frankie. “We’re home.” Mrs. Jonas sang loud enough to echo throughout the entire house. She took off her fur coat and hung it on the coat hanger that stood next to the door.
"Come on!" Nick whispered, taking ahold of Demi’s hand and quickly started up the rest of the steps.
"Nicholas?" He froze when he heard his mother’s voice from the bottom of the staircase. Nick bit his lip as he turned to face her.
"Hey mom." He put on an angelic smile.
"Who’s your little friend?" Mrs. Jonas asked, raising an eyebrow as she examined Demi.
"Ohhh! Nick’s got a girlfriend." Frankie sang.
"Shut it, Frankie!" Nick snapped back. He turned his attention back to his mom. "This is Demi…" Nick stopped. He realized he never got her last name.
"Lovato." Demi quickly picked up where Nick left off. "It’s nice to meet you Mrs. Jonas." She said in the sweetest tone, putting on an angelic smile herself. Nick actually caught himself starring at her. She had such a bright, beautiful smile.
Mrs. Jonas just nodded. “What were you two gonna do upstairs?”
"Well," Nick started, taking a couple steps down. "We were going to get Joe so he could hang with us." Nick answered.
A second later, a door from upstairs opened. “I heard my name and whatever it is, I didn’t do it.” Joe defended as he stepped out of his room, dressed only in basketball shorts.
Demi turned to face him and her eyes widened when they landed on Joe’s fit body. Her mouth even dropped a bit. Joe felt someone’s eyes on him, so he looked down at Demi. He smiled. “Who are you?” He asked.
"Demi Lovato." Demi greeted with a flirty smile. "And you must be Joe Jonas."
Joe kept the smirk on his face. “Guilty as charged.”
"And I’m Denise." Mrs. Jonas chimed in, not liking the way that Joe and Demi were flirting with each other. "Now Joe, why don’t you go throw some clothes on and come downstairs and play Go Fish with Frankie, Nick, and Demi. That sounds like a good idea." She said with a smile.
Joe shrugged. “Sounds like I have no choice.” He said. He turned on his heel and went back into his room. Mrs. Jonas, pleased that she averted disaster, or so she thought, followed her husband into their room.
