Rachel's POV
"Good morning DMV, we have a special guest in the building." Free said.
"Nah, man I'm not special but what I'm here to talk about is." I said laughing.
"Well tell the folks why you here." She said.
"Well I'm Rachel Cooper and my best friend Chanel Carter and myself started a foundation if you will named RayNel C. and what we're doing is thanksgiving food give out so everyone can be having a fabulous meal with their families on thanksgiving." I said.
"What made y'all pick the name RayNel C.?" She asked.
I laughed.
"We basically just put our names together. I'm Rachel, she's Chanel and both our last names start with a C." I said laughing.
"So what made y'all start this foundation?" She asked.
"Well we both are from the DMV and we know its a lot of kids that don't have everything they need and we were fortunate to have everything we need and we just want everyone to feel that sense of 'I won't be left out' you know." I said. "Like a few months back we did a school supply give out and people might think it's just school supplies but to a kid you want to have the best. You want Crayola crayons, you want a batman back pack, you want a certain lunch box and we try to give it to those kids that can't necessarily afford it."
"Wow, that's amazing. How old are y'all?" Free asked.
"We're seventeen." I said.
"Y'all starting young." She said. "I know y'all did a thanksgiving give out in New York last year what made you move it to the DMV?"
"Actually we're having it in The DMV and New York. People found out what we were trying to do and they wanted to help out. With more supporters hopefully we'll be able to get another city in as well. But the DMV is where I was born and raised so why not bring it home."
"That's what's up." Free said. "So where and when is all this going down?"
"November 18th and it's gonna be at The Annabelle Ferguson Auditorium. From 12pm to 6pm so if you make your way down there we got you." I said.
"Remember that DMV and don't be upset if you don't have a pen on you will keep you posted though out the month on the details." Free said. "So, Chanel will be here with you?"
"Oh yeah." I said. "Then I'll go up to New York and will do that one on the 20th."
"That's what's up." She said. "So on to other things how's life?"
"Oh I'm good. Riding out that senior year." I said.
"You decided where you wanna go yet?" She asked.
"I'm narrowing it down." I said.
"So you and Chanel have been friends for ever I'm sure you've stayed at her place. How's Bey and Jay?" She asked.
