Chanel's POV
Oh my god. I love Devon, I promise you but his graduation was so damn boring. It was almost three hours and all we did was watch him stand with his department and sit back down. It was just the most to me but on to now.
We're at Barclays watching my mom practice. Since I'm finished with the play I can come see her rehearse. I like seeing my mom in her work environment. It's really different and if she don't like something she lets it be known quick.
"Chanel!" I heard.
I looked towards the stage at my mom and her dancers and band.
"Hand me my laptop." She said.
I got her MacBook and walked on stage and gave it to her. She was looking through it for something.
"Chanel, we heard you going on tour." Ashley said.
I laughed.
"Yeah I am." I said. "It won't be like this but I'm happy about it."
"Gotta start from the bottom." She said.
"I'm cool with that as long as I'm starting somewhere." I said.
"Here." I heard my mom say.
She handed me back the laptop and I left the stage and went back over to Ciera and Damien. We sat and watched them practice.
"I can do that." Ciera said.
Ciera was referring to my mom and her dancers dancing to "Grown Woman".
"Bet, let's go." I said standing. "Wait till they start again."
Ciera got up and took off her hoodie and Damien was hyping it up.
They did "Grown Woman" again and we did it too. I could see Ciera in the corner of my eye and I know she was getting it. When the song ended I looked at her.
"Told you." She said shrugging.
"Alright Mini-me." I said laughing.
We turned around and everyone was looking at us.
"What?" I asked.
My mom just threw her hands up. Me and Ciera laughed.
Soon everyone went on break and it was just Ciera, myself and Damien so we went on stage. Damien went down and hooked his phone into the sound board.
"Chanel!"
I heard a familiar toon to "Loyal" by Chris Brown playing.
Me and Ciera already knew the choreography to the dance so we did it on stage. After we "performed" a few more songs my mom came back and kicked us off the stage.
My mom and them practiced a few more hours before they called it quits for the night.
"Y'all ready to go?" She asked.
"Yeah." I said.
"Y'all know we leave in a few days right?"
"A few days? To go where?" I asked.
"A girls trip." She said.
"Ohhhh." Ciera said.
"Wait, so I can't go?" Damien asked.
"Don't worry." She said. "We'll do something too but I need a trip with just my girls before the summer starts."
"Fine but my weekend better be like there's or better." Damien said walking off.
"He's so dramatic." I said.
Girls Weekend
"Chanel, wake up." I kept hearing.
