Eventually, they were about to walk in but a family was walking over to the door so Gustav held the door open for them. The teenage girl with the family looked at Gus with a romantic look in her eyes. He looked at her with the same look. The dad pushed her into the building and glared at the teen boy. Gustav returned the glare to the blonde-haired, balding man. "If you got somethin' to say say it to me, baldy."

"Don't come near my daughter. You already have a girlfriend, freakshow." Gustav's nostrils flared at the name.

"What'd you call me?"

"Freakshow."

"Dad, don't-" The girl put her hand on her father's forearm. He pushed it away.

"No, let him finish, hot stuff. So, you were calling me a freakshow... huh? Call me something again and see what the hell happens."

"Weirdo."

"That's all you got huh?! C'mere you lousy pillock!" Gustav yelled as Ivy held him back. "Imma beat the shit outta you!"

The family quickly rushed into the structure before Gustav could throw a punch or even the whole trash can at the man. He turned to Ivy. She just stood there with her arms crossed. "Was that necessary, Gus?"

"Very." He put his Juul in his pocket and opened the door again. "C'mon, we better do this while we can before your dad is breathing down our necks to hurry and leave."

"He's not as bad as he seems," Ivy said as she walked into the skating rink.

"Yeah, okay, sure," Gus said with a roll of his eyes as he exaggerated the sure to sound like the wrong one. "I gotta see it to believe it."

"I promise. You wanna go somewhere with him after this, I'll show he's really sweet."

"Well, I guess it couldn't hurt..." He admitted as they approached the counter to get their skates. Ivy looked at Gustav, who was smirking.

"Did you fart again," she mouthed. He nodded, the girl gagging overdramatically; she then started laughing. The lady behind the desk looked at them strangely.

"I uh... need size 12 skates, she needs... what? Nine and a half? Ten?"

"Nine," The black-haired girl breathed.

The boy paid and handed Ivy her roller skates. They put them on and Gustav got up, falling backward onto the floor and trying to catch himself by grabbing the hem of Ivy's Fall Out Boy shirt. He let her go and struggled to even get back on the bench. "I don't know why I let you rope me into this." Ivy chuckled and stood. She helped Gus stand and pulled/pushed him into the actual rink. "What do I do now?"

"The same thing, push off with the front." They held hands, doing as Ivy instructed. After some time, Gustav broke off and did his own thing, Snapchatting and videoing his Story for Instagram. Ivy returned the favor by taking a picture of Gustav but he threw his hand in his face.

Gustav wanted to take a picture of Ivy but he saw Ivy's dad walk into the building. "Did you text your dad or something?" He asked as he skated over to her.

"No, but what time is it?" She looked at the time. "Oh, I told him we should be done in at least an hour and... that's how long we've been here, if not more."

The dad and daughter locked eyes and Ivy grabbed Gus, them skating over to him. "You two ready to go?"

"I think so... but dad, can we go to get ice cream?"

"How about you two eat something real first then we can go to TCBY for frozen yogurt. Sound good?" They both nodded and took off their skates, returned them, put their shoes back on, and left.

Ivy and Gustav played 47 games of rock-paper-scissors to decide on where to eat; Gustav won and decided on Olive Garden.

They got to the restaurant and walked in, being seated almost immediately. Ivy and Gustav sat on one side of the booth while Andrew sat alone on the other side. The waitress came over. "Hi! My name is Trisha and I'll be your waiter... what would you like cutie?"

"Oh wow, thanks," Gustav said, getting a small laugh from Ivy. "I'm just kidding, madame. I know you were talking to him."

"Uh, huh... well, I appreciate the compliment and I'll have unsweet tea with lemon and some Stella Rosa red wine."

"I'll have a Coke and he'll have lemonade."

"I can order myself, Ivy... but yeah, I'll have what she said I will be having." Andrew chuckled while Trisha just walked off.

"Told you he's not that big of a prick," Ivy whispered to the pink-and-black-haired boy. He nodded in response.

"What're you two whispering about?"

Ivy responded with, "nothing," while Gustav answered with, "you."

"Me?"

"Yeah, you seemed like a prick at first and Ivy pulled me here to show me you weren't and she was right." Andrew just nodded.

"I'll only be a prick if you touch my daughter because then your ass would be six feet under. You understand, Gustav?"

"Yes sir and that's a feasible answer from a qualified dad."

"This kid gotta good vocabulary, Vy."

"What? Didn't expect it?"

"Yeah. I didn't 'cause you look like one of those people who are stupid." Ivy looked at her dad with a 'really?' face.

"I agree. And to be honest, I am pretty stupid." Gustav smiled. "At least we can agree on something, Mr. Taggart."
