They walked in Trigonometry and sat at Gustav's table with two girls eventually sitting down after them. One had brown eyes, dark brown, pale yet peach colored skin, and a lovely smile on her face while talking to the other girl. The second girl that sat by Ivy had darker skin, brown eyes, and black hair. "Hey, Gus."
"Hey, Layla... hey, Anna." Anna looked at him, waved, and continued her conversation with Layla. Ivy looked at Gus who had thrown on a white leather jacket with multiple things drawn on it. The thing Ivy read before speaking was Never Say Die written sloppily on the left sleeve.
"Why're you wearing that jacket?"
"Since Mrs. Stone hates me... she'll make up any excuse to send me out of her class."
"She hates you because you're smarter than her," Layla commented quietly. They all shared a small, quiet laugh before Mrs. Stone came in the room to their table.
"Gustav. Stand up." He stood wearily, showing her he had a jacket on that matched nothing else of his outfit. "What're you wearing under that jacket? I saw you come in here with a blue shirt on."
"Uh... I'I'm not wearing anything blue. What're you talking about? Not even my underwear is blue." people snickered at the comment. "Wait, yes I am!"
The boy undid his belt and pulled it out of the belt loops of his pink pants--he felt his pants sag slightly. She just looked at him. "Can we hurry? My pants are about to fall and you're gonna realize I'm wearing neon purple underwear."

They got through class making fun of Mrs. Stone and talking about how Gus always made wisecracks at her. "Gustav!"
"I didn't do it!" He jumped with his hands in the air. "He ran that way!"
He pointed to the left, causing the class to laugh. The woman just rolled her eyes. "Can you tell me what a Sine is?"
"A public display of words. Like a stop sign!" Gustav said like an excited child.
"Not sign." She sighed and put her index finger and thumb on the bridge of her nose. "A Sine! Like a line with an 's' instead of an 'l'."
"Oh. Well, they're pronounced the same way." He heard the class giggle slightly. "But, uh, to answer your question: it's the ratio of the magnitude of a given angle's opposing side to the length of the hypotenuse in a right triangle. But I don't know what that has to do with a Unit Circle."
"It doesn't, but the last time you weren't paying attention, you colored the bottom of your shoe with a Sharpie." Ivy smiled at the thought the looked at Gustav, who shrugged. She laughed.
"What can I say? I'm an autistic person... I mean artistic!"

Ivy and Gustav "paid attention" for the rest of class and when the bell rang, Mrs. Stone pulled them both aside even though Ivy hadn't done anything. "Gustav, I do not appreciate you disrupting my class."
"Sorry. But why do you have to hold Vy? She didn't even do anything." Mrs. Stone just shook her head and shushed them out of her class where they could go to English.
Gus took Ivy by the forearm and took her down the hallway, pushing past people so they weren't late. The class was still in the hall, causing Gus to physically sigh out or relief. "Why did you drag me down the hall?"
"I have never been late for a class, even when Mrs. Stone pulled me aside after class. I always make her so frustrated where she just leaves me alone for a day or two." Ivy nodded for... no reason really.
She just pushed it aside and just followed the boy and the class into the room.
