When my class later that day finally got out, Hayley had already picked Hope up, and they are already driving to New Orleans. But I want out of this school, and to make sure Hayley doesn't murder Hope. So I knock on Mr. Saltzman's office, I hear a muffled, "Come in."

Right when I walk into the office, Mr. Saltzman looks up at me. He looks tired, and he asks, "What is it, Alex?"

"Um... is there any way I could go to New Orleans with Hope?" I ask.

"Alex," Mr. Saltzman says, as he runs his hand through his hair obviously overworked and tired, "It's the middle of the school year, and you have classes. Also, Hope has to deal with what she did-"

I then interrupt him, "Yah, but I get the highest or one of the highest grades in my class, and I can just get my homework before I leave, and I read a study that teens who have done risky behavior are more likely to do something of the same caliber again if not around friends, and Hope doesn't have friends in New Orleans."

I hear Mr. Saltzman let out a breath, and says, "Alex, you can't go. Your only 14-"

"And let me guess, I should be in school?" I ask mockingly.

"Yes," Mr. Saltzman says with relief.

I nod my head, "Fine! I won't go." But I knew walking into that office I wasn't asking, I more telling him I was going.

So I walk back to my dorm and start throwing random clothing into a duffle. I check my phone and get the cheapest plane ticket I can find. I quickly grab my duffle bag and small school bag and head to the closest door to outside. As I walk down the hallway, I see Lizzie and Josie are walking towards me. I immediately turn around to walk the other way, not wanting attention. But I hear Josie behind me, "Alex, wait up."

I have no choice but to turn and wait for them, I slowly turn around to them walking up to me. Lizzie asks, eyeing my duffle, "Where are you going?"

"I'm taking a quick trip to New Orleans, to make sure someone isn't murdered," I say.

Josie rolls her eyes slightly, "That's a little melodramatic, don't you think?"

I laugh, "Well, yes. But I am going to New Orleans."

I then hear Mr. Saltzman's voice from behind me, "Who's going to New Orleans?"

"I am," I say, showing my phone screen with the ticket info while pushing past Mr. Saltzman unsuccessfully, "and since when do you stalk me?"

I turn back to Mr. Saltzman, "I'm not stalking you, I need you to perform a locator spell on someone, so Caroline can find them." I give a "are you really asking that" look, and he replies, " Ok, I'll make a deal. If you do this, then I will let you go to New Orleans."

I take a breath, and say, "Fine, but for the record I would have left anyway."

Mr. Saltzman mutters, almost rolling his eyes, "I would expect nothing less."

I give a smile, and turn to the twins, "Can you email any homework I can do while I'm gone?"

Josie says, "Sure."

While Lizzie asks, "Why are you leaving for New Orleans?"

"Thank you, Jo," I say, and then turn to Lizzie and start to speak in fake proper, "Because there are family matters I need to attend to."

They both nod, knowing it's probably Hope and they would hear about it soon. Mr. Saltzman then catches my attention saying, "Follow me."

Once we are out of earshot of Lizzie and Josie, I ask, "Who is so important for this locator spell that you couldn't talk about them in front of your daughters?"
