Chapter 26 Food and Broken truths

I can see Jacob fuming in the passenger seat. I am controlling myself to turn back and flip the bird.

Ethan is driving the car and I scream shot gun and now he is sitting in the back with Vanessa.

See I am not telling her company is bad but boy you should have seen his face when he came to know that he couldn't sit with me.

Before you all try to murder me, I have valid explanation for my
actions. I just don't want to be in a relationship to be more specific with Jacob, it's just that he is too perfect.

If you notice I always try to find faults in him, that's how I work.
I have meaningless crushes all the time but when the shit is getting real I  just pull the cord out.

This makes me sound like a bitch but I just don't want relationship drama of high school have heard enough seen enough.

We come to an abrupt stop, I turn to see it's a retro style diner, just like in movies and I jump of my seat and hug Ethan and thank him for being the best friend in the entire world. I hear a scoff from Jacob but a dramatic sigh from Vanessa cue rolling of eyes.

I jump out of the car and start running towards my target, as well as give myself a workout before I divulge into intense foodgasms.
But my excitement overpowered me that I failed to see the step and one moment I was running the next moment I was falling face first onto the floor.

So I start grabbing air to give me support but I land on some jacket and stabilise myself but the worst part was the person in the jacket was cleaning the floor with his handsome face.

Yup it's Jacob isn't he a darling?

I blow him a kiss and walk towards my food.
I hop in and straight away start ordering my stomach has been going wild since morning I gotta give it some work even though I can be starving for 1 whole day my body can digest the fat in it and I can be energised.

I push away the negative clouds that surround me and order veggie burger  and fries with some salad in the side. Your girl gotta be healthy too.

The squad goes on ordering as well, I am shook by how much food Vanessa ordered but thanks to her fast metabolism she is skinny as usual.

So I find a cute booth facing the park and jump right in.
Before I could jump in I feel someone press my waist and come closer to my ears and say "Easy tiger don't want you to fall for any other thing than me! Don't we agree?"

I turn back and give him the most disgusted face and put my tongue out and say "In your dreams mister!"

And swat his hand away, and before he could come and sit with me, I grab Vanessa's hand and start dragging her to the loo.

"Sav what the hell? What are you doing I wanna eat!"

"Eating is important or gossip?"

She keeps her serious face and says "Spill the tea miss"

I try to control my laughter and say "Certain someone asked me out yesterday!" And boy the look on her face was not expected, I thought she would be jumping with joy and say go girl!

But she had a bored look and says "Finally the lover boy got the guts to ask you out! He was practically mad about you, it was about time girl!"

I just open my mouth and stare at her she closes it and says "Savannah you were too blind and dense to see it. Practically anyone with eyes and basic common sense could say that boy was a sucker for you! I am so happy for you that he finally asked you out!"

I shake my head hearing the new information and she just pats my back and says "Now if that was your tea, girl you just wasted my time. I would currently be slurping my maple syrup right now, so chop chop let's go!"

I laugh at my skinny friend with an appetite that can fit an entire school. And go back to our booth, my mouth waters at the sight of food, I jump right in but before I could sit I can feel a push and I turn back to Vanessa to see her motion me to go and sit in the other side.

I was confused but the smell of delicious goodness made me forget em all and we dived right in.

So after multiple foodgasms, I am definitely marking this my go to place. And I turn to Ethan who is sitting next to me and ask him "How did you find this wonderful place?"

He shrugs and says "I was driving around aimlessly one evening and I saw this place and I wanted some snacks and voila found this place."

I nod my head and sip into my black coffee which was making me to feel I was in heaven right now. The rich after taste of bitter coffee neutralised all the sweets that I gobbled. I moaned and thanked again Ethan.

He shrugs and says "My pleasure my lady!"

I look up to see Vanessa looking at me and Ethan oddly I wipe my face if there was any stain. And I motion her what happened?
She just shrugs and bumps her shoulder with Jacob and says "Aren't they the cutest?"

Thank god I didn't have anything in mouth, I looked at her alarmingly and I see she turns to Ethan and says "Finally boy you got the balls to ask her out, it was only time for you guys to be a couple."

I am shell shocked is understatement, I turn to see Ethan and he is having a panicky face and it just striked me of all the things she said in the loo.

I turn to the boy in question who is now looking at his empty plate and ask "Ethan, look at me what is she telling is she telling the truth?"

He doesn't answer anything that was enough for me to know.
Something strikes me and I turn to look at Jacob and he has the most painful expression, it actually breaks me a little to see him like that.

He looks at my face and something washes over his body and his expression changes and he stands up abruptly and claps and says "Wow guys, I thought it was just a normal day out. But turns out it was meet up to announce your relationship! I am so happy for you guys."

I sure do notice sarcasm and sadness dripping in his last sentence.

I turn to the girl oblivious to all the accusations and she just looks at me blankly and asks "Did I say something wrong?"

And this was the time I am sure the only thought that floated in Jacob, Ethan and I it was "Can you please shut up Vanessa."
