Chapter 29 Back to school

I just can't believe the support and help I have gotten from my friends of 2 weeks. They have been always coming and visiting the hospital everyday. There were times when Ethan stayed over too. We haven't still put a label on what we are.

The other day when I started to talk about it, he said "Sav it's ok, I don't want you to think about anything else, let's just help your mom and pray for her speedy recovery. I will be here irrespective of your decision. Ok?"

I shake my head and hug him. He hugs me back and that's when my dad enters and I push back Ethan. I see my dad glaring holes at Ethan, but he remains unfazed and says "Good morning Mr. Jones!"

My dad grunts in response and directs to me "Sav are you going to school today at least?"

See the thing is I haven't been to school for like 2 weeks, one week of my recovery time and another week was to take care of my mum.

Before I could reply my mom got up and said "She is going dear, Ethan would you be a darling and take her to home and then to school?"

Ethan nods his head and I shrug my shoulders as I feel I have no say in it now.

I get into the car that time I get a call from Jacob, I attend and he says "Hey you in hospital?"

"Nah on my way to house actually and I am going to school, finally!" With sarcasm dripping.

He chuckles and says "Damn the good girl changed to bad girl, who may be the reason?"

I can visualize him stroking his invisible beard. I chuckle back and say "Fuck off" and cut the call.

I hear Ethan say "I didn't know they changed the word for bye to fuck off?" I shake my head and contemplate what's wrong with guys around me.

You would be confused how we all are in ok terms after the most awkward Diner time. But kind of the fire became a major distraction and helped us to come closer as friends rather than anything.

And to what happened to my mom and Justin who is lil bro of Jacob. The thing was my mom kinda saved Justin from the fire, I always knew my mom to be the sacrificial type. But damn such heroic act not expected.

The school is holding a function of appreciation it's later this month.

It was not something major, thank god! I couldn't stand seeing my mom in pain. It was second degree burns in some parts of the body and she got fracture in forearm.

So she is currently in the cast, it's in the left hand. And she is kind of person who wants to be in control and wants to do her own chores.

So it did take a toll in her mentally but physically she is improving, my dad and I are trying to make it proper and safe for her, but sometimes she starts throwing tantrums.

And my sister Isabella after hearing this is planning to make a visit this weekend.

We come to my place and I turn to Ethan and say "Wanna come in?"

He nods his head and I open the door to enter the house and say "Make yourself at home, I will take a quick shower and I will be out in max 10 mins!" He shrugs and goes to the TV room.

I hop on the and go to the bathroom after having a quick shower I hop out of the bathroom with a towel barely wrapping my parts, which kind of makes me into a dull mood as I feel I have put on some weight.

So having these thoughts I go to my wardrobe and take my innerwears and a long sweater and ripped black jeans. I can feel my skin poking out of the rips when I bend over to take my converses.

Before I could drop the towel and wear my inners, I go to the door to lock it. I hear some knocks on it so I open to find it was Ethan and he has a pan on his hand with an omelet on it.

And he is looks up asking me where is the salt and I shake my head and was about to go out of the room, when I hear him take in sharp breath. I then realize I am still in the towel which is actually not covering my modesty to the fullest.

This was the 1st time I showed so much skin to an outsider. I close the door in instant and lock it and I hear him say "Oh my god Sav sorry I didnt know, I am so sorry how stupid I am!"

And before I could say something, he mumbled lowly "But you looked so beautiful!"

I blush at his comment and start dressing up. After getting ready, I take my phone and bag and rush out I put a message to my dad that I am going and I see Ethan with a plate in his hand eating and scrolling through his phone. I can see a plate next to him with delicious looking omelet.

He smiles at me and motions me to eat.

After taking few bites, I can feel an hand on my thigh and I turn to see it's Ethan and he has an indescribable look on his face.

He cups my face and says "Savannah you know I love your body, you don't have to hide it away from me, though that was a total invasion of privacy. I don't want you to feel bad about yourself, I don't know what we are but I know we aren't just friends so I am again going to do something without having any regret. Stop me if you...."

Before he could complete his sentence I pull his head and crash my lips, though I hurt myself with his teeth clashing on the sudden impact. He starts moving his lips and I do too.
I don't know how was I but it felt good, I hope it's for him too.
I can hear the main door open and it's Jacob.

He comes to the dining room and sees us, it was clear from our flushed faces and bodies turned to each other, that we were doing something.

I could see pain going across his face but he masks it and says "Hey we have a school to attend, chop chop!"
