Chapter 37 Travel Cons

I hear a knock after few minutes.

I scream, "Leave me alone!"

I hear the door handle move and Sebastian comes in. Being a little shocked I ask him to come in.

He comes in and sits in my chair and then says, "See it's not my place to talk to you about your decision. But I just heard all about what happened with you and Jacob the Brown's son."

I shake my head and was about to open my face to correct whatever he was going to say.

But he interrupts me and say, "Before you say anything. Sorry but please listen to me."

I huff and nod for him to continue.

"Ok thanks! I am just 29 years old, I am not some big saint or something. But I have been through some shit of my own kind. Definitely my relationship with your sister was also not all fairy tale like. Plus you will have to know that even fairy tale has its villains and problems. Don't they?"
He says

I was shocked would be an understatement. It's not everyday a 29 year old person comes to my room and gives me Disney references. But being very amused I smile and listen to him.

"So as I was saying all relationships has its ups and down. It's in our hands that what we want to do about it. I don't know about this Jacob guy, I have no idea how the relationship between you and him is. But all I am saying with a little information I got is, you don't get a second chance always in your life. So please make use of the opportunity when you get it."

He takes a deep breath and then says, "Cause don't be a person who will regret this after certain years. Also I wouldn't be in this place with your sister being my fiancé if I was sitting and sulking in my room." He says smiling knowingly.

I make a mental note to ask my sister about this and stand up and say, "Ok Mr. Bro-in-law! You got me! I will give this a second chance."

He smiles widely and then gets up to give me a side hug. Just then my family enters my room, which kinda looks they were eavesdropping the conversation.

Who cares? Let's see what life is in store for me!

My sister is now who screams, "Group hug!"

Everyone compiles and we all hug and laugh. That's when I hear a click go off, Ethan stands there in the doorway, having his phone out.

"There Sophia you have your family portrait." Ethan says smiling.

We all look at each other and then start laughing out loud.

That's when my sister goes, "Oh my god! It's going to be 7! We have only 30 minutes left! Let's start packing shall we?"

Everyone goes and rushes around my room. Like my dad goes to take the suitcase down from the shelf. Sebastian runs and catches his stool and helps him to get it down.

My sister and mom goes to my bathroom and then my dressing table and starts filling out small bags with essentials.

Ethan just then says, "Oh shit I have to go and pick as well! I will be back in 15! Bye guys!"

I just shake my head and Sebastian has a confused face how he will be back in 15?

I say, "His house is 2 blocks away, plus he is a boy!"

Sebastian has a good laugh and then goes on to open the suitcase and then slowly the bag gets filled.

*After 30 so minutes*

My suitcase is placed on the truck of Brown's G wagon by my dad and Sebastian. They both huff and then smile and asks me, "Sav you are going to go only for 3 days what did you even pack?"

I just simply shrug my shoulders and say, "Girls stuff you guys won't understand."

I say and complete it just then Ethan comes and puts his small backpack in the trunk. And then goes on to see my suitcase and says, "Woah whose is that?"

I just hit his head and tell him to go and sit in the car.

I finally go and say bye to my family who is standing out in our porch.

When I was hugging Seb whispers, "Remember whatever I said ok?"

I nod my head and wave my hand crazily and go into the car. That's where I see Jacob sitting in the back playing with Justin something.

I stand there pushing Ethan first when my mom comes out of no where along with Sarah( Jacob's mom) and says, "Oh yeah! Sarah, Ethan has motion sickness so it's better if he sits in the window seat it will be comfortable for you know."

I look at her as if she grew another head and then look at Ethan and ask, "From when do you have motion sickness?"

"I don't know.. Hmm Sophia..? He mumbles.

My mom comes to his rescue and says, "What Ethan you just said few days back, long travels make you fell all bad. It's ok son, you don't have to be tough all the time."

Sarah just looks at all of this and laughs and says, "It's ok Sophia I got it. So Savannah darling get in then." She motions me to sit in the middle.

Huffing, having no other option and clearly I have to ask my mom to join some acting classes. She is really being so bad at it.

I go in and try not to be very close, just then Ethan enters in and squeezes me in the middle and I had no other way to go more in. I felt something under my bum. It starts moving and I jump with a sound.

That's when Jacob takes his hand and then places it on his lap and then goes on mumbling a sorry and turning to look at the window.

I see Mr and Mrs Brown looking from the rear view mirror smiling. I hear a chuckle from Ethan as well for which I replied him by hitting his arm.

He makes a sound and rubs the hit spot; I just give him a death glare. And ask Mr. Brown, "How long is it to reach the cabin?"

He replies, "Nothing much only 5 hours with no stops."

I just felt my world coming to an end. What 5 fucking long hours of being squeezed in the middle of these two idiots.

That's how I ended up in this position.

Wow! I have the best life don't I? Note the heavy sarcasm.
