Chapter 32 First impression

"Hey!" I say a little high pitched for my likening but boy I talked.

He looks at me as if I grew another head and just stares straight.
"Ok so now you won't talk with me?"

He shrugs and nods his head.

I shake my head and say "Ok ok, what about...how is your brother?"

He thinks about his brother because he smiles a little and then looks at me and it's was wrenching as his face contorted now pain.

I sit down next to him and not caring the way how my pants stretched and my thighs look like a table now I keep my hands in front of stomach though the hoodie covers my rolls.

I divert my attention to this guy who is sitting and sulking and I want to know what's up with him.

"He is fine, thanks to your mom! But still he is going through trauma. He will be fine hopefully." He whispers the last word.

My hands are itching to clasp around his but I just turn them into a fist and say "Oh that sounds nice, my mom is doing good too!"

There is awkward air all around us, I don't like this at all.

So I continue "What happened Jacob?"

He looks at me as if not believing the words I just said, he shook his head and says "Are you asking me that? Savannah I literally proposed you to be mine but what you did the very next day accepted that duck face."

I knew it this would be it but what can I say to him. I did that to protect myself that I feel I am slowly falling for him though I am with someone else now. I just feel I am a dimwit.

I was just too coward to fight my feelings and now I am here in the most ugly position any one can ever be. But before I could say something he was already storming off the gym. And I just sulked and sat for the entire period.

"Hey what's wrong?" Ethan asks as he parks in front of his home and looks at me.

I shrug and he catches my hands and says "Ok not here, you know that my mom and sister are ecstatic to see you."

I nervously shake my head and he just comes closer and pecks my lips and says "Don't worry darling they will like you!"

Only that I wish he would know what I am really scared of.
We start walking hand in hand towards a two storey house with a small garden in the front and a garage. It wasn't in its best shape but who I am to blame.

He rings the bell and there my hear starts accelerating and I feel my palms getting sweaty. The door is immediately opened by a small girl in pink pajamas I am assuming she is lily, I smile at her and she just ignores me and jumps on Ethan.

He catches her and she starts talking and they start walking in and I am still standing out thanking the gods, I enter the house.
It's a simple interior with a very good home vibes. I see a tv and some makeshift sofas assuming it to be the living room I enter it. I am stopped by another tiny creature it's a boy.

I look down at a blonde haired boy who looks well dressed for a small boy. I say "Hi!" And he just points his finger at me and say "I don't like her!"

I am offended is an understatement. I just stare at him with mouth open where he continues to say "She is so fat! I guess she gulped an entire human."

See, I have heard and seen a lot of hurtful comments from a lot of people it has never irked me. But this is the first time a small boy who looks so tender and fragile has said to me like this.

I am really blaming the social media and movies for sharpening the tongues of younger generation and shaping bullies and monsters in such a tender age.

So what I did I just smiled and said "Oh really? You want to me prove to you by gulping you"

"What the hell and what are you talking? Who the hell are you?"
Oh boy this shouldn't be Ethan's mom please!!

"Ethan where are you and where is the girl you were talkin about??"

Oh fuck it is Ethan's mom. First impression is the best impression right!

Now we are seated for the dinner, that small boy is actually Lily's friend. And she also hates me because I quote "Mason (small boy) hates you! So I hate you."

Like what the hell! I don't know what's up with small children hating me starting from Justin to now Lily!

Mrs.Chase says "Everyone I request you all to close your eyes and pray silently to the almighty and thank him for the food on our plates. Amen. Everyone begin eating."

There is forks and spoons clashing against plates in an instant and people have started digging into the foods as if they have ever never seen food. I just stay put and look around Ethan is not sitting next to me he is sitting in between Lily and Mason and is engrossed in some cartoon talk.

And Mrs.Chase in cue looks at me and says "Savannah please eat, it's not good for the food to be left alone, the food must never wait for us we must wait for food. Ok?"

I nod my head and one last time I look towards Ethan and take my form up and start eating the pasta.

Mrs.Chase asks "So Savannah are you dating my son?"

Thank goodness I was chewing my food or I would have for sure choked. I gulp in and nod my head.

She nods her head too, there is a awkward break which is filled in by Ethan who starts talking about his tournament and how important it's for him to get placed in university next year.

I nod my head and smile proudly at him for knowing what to do in life.

I am still thinking what I am going to do? I don't know I just don't have any aim is it bad?

I see Mrs.Chase looking at me with calculation eyes, I don't know whether she is judging me or just studying me. I become stiff at her and start being conscious on every bite I take in.

My heart is slowly accelerating on what I am going to do after this dinner and how Ethan would react after I tell him what's in my mind. I look at him across the table and air eyes meet and he winks at me and starts talking again with the kids.

I don't know what to do!!
