Unexpected News

It was 9:30 am in the morning you just woke up, Ava was laying next to you, You love the way she is there for you and comforts you in the morning. You got out of bed went to your drawer to get some clothes put them on your bed and went to the shower. 

Once you were out the shower, you looked at your phone and it was vibrating like crazy, an unknown call came in you answered it. " Y/N I am Doctor Victoria ,I have some bad news to tell you, Your friend Cody has been hurt , he is okay , he is in critical condition,he is being prepared to go into surgery. If you would like to stop by and visit him feel free , I am so sorry. The doctor hang up. You stood there frozen you couldn't move , you were worried about him and who did this to him. you put down your phone grabbed your suitcase and packed everything you needed to go see Cody and stay where he was staying for a week to help.

You called Johnny. He didn't pick up, so you left a voice mail instead. " Hey Johnny this is Y/N I am calling you because something happened to Cody , and I am going to see him , I am sorry that I ruined our plans for the picnic today I will make it up to you as soon as I can , Thank you for having my back and listening and understanding , I hope I can see you when I get Back. lots of love and hugs.

You hanged up your phone and went to your neighbor Amy's house to see if she can watch Ava , She said Yes and asked what was wrong , you said it was personal and you left her doorstep and went to your car and drove to the hospital .

Three Hours passed and you arrived at the hospital, you walked in and talked to the nurse , she let you passed because you showed your Id and since  you were a counselor you were granted entrance , you walked slowly into Cody's room, he was conscious and he looked up at you and smiled. You walked toward him and sat in the chair next to him.

' Thank God you made it Y/N , I was so afraid that I was not going to make it, I wanted to come see you so badly , I miss you so much , the fun times we used to do together and how we would always pull pranks on each other I miss those times because like you said" Those are the times you cherish the most" Cody smiled looking at you.

You began to cry because you thought who would do something like this to him, Cody didn't do anything to anybody, you wondered but you couldn't think straight because you were crying.

"Oh don't cry Y/N , I am okay and I will be okay as long as you are here with me. Cody said holding your hand

" I am crying because I could of lost you, I can't live without my best friend , we have been through so much together Cody and I can't just lose those memories with you, I can't just let you leave me" you said Sniffling

" I will not leave you, I love you" Cody said 

" what happened Cody, Do you remember anything from yesterday" You asked 

" All I remember is coming home from work and feeling something hard hit my head and i blacked out and I remember waking up here and nurses were all around me, Then I blacked out again and I remember you sitting next to me." Cody said wincing.

" I wonder what hit you, Why would somebody do something like this. You pondered in your mind who could do something to Cody. That idea stayed in your head and you pondered it while you were sitting there with Cody.

"Hey, I will be right back I am Going to get Coffee and I will Come back and stay with you until it is time for me to go" you said getting up from your seat.

'Okay, see you in a bit" Cody replied.

You walked out of the room and grabbed you phone , you saw you got a new message. It was from johnny. the message read.

" Oh my god, I am sorry y/n if you need anything let me know , how is he , I hope he is okay , don't worry about the picnic , We will always have plans together , and let me know if you need someone to talk to , i would be happy to, and I love you so much, be careful.

You read the message and you were shocked he said he loved you, you knew it he does feel something for you, you got your coffee and headed back to Cody's room and He was asleep, you walked over gave him a kiss on his forehead and promised to come back tomorrow.

" I love you , Cody, i will never leave you" you whispered

you walked out of the room slowly and went home to your hotel.
