Today I got a new roomate. Great right? Not really. My old dorm roomate dropped out of collage and now I am being forced to room with some randome dude. For all I know this guy could be a drug dealer, someone who I try to avoid. Apparently he's friends with one of the biggest fuckboys on campus as well which means there is going to be lots of parties here.

I sat on my couch waiting for the mystery man to show up, it was around half past 4 when someone knocked on my door. I rolled my eyes and reluctantly got up to open the door. Next thing I knew was that a boy named Zach Herron was now living across from my bedroom door.

*TIME SKIP*

"Yeah man, yeah I got everything, I know, I know. There are only two bedroom Jo, mine and my roomates" Zach was speaking as he walked through the door, in his arms he held big brown bags, and his phone was pinched between his ear and shoulder, "No, I know her name" he rolled his eyes, "It's Y/N and no, she won't give up her room for randome strangers to sleep in" his voice became muffled as he walked into the kitchen, "No, I didn't ask her because I dont want her to give it up like that. You want people to sleep around, have the party at your dorm and not mine. Please" I could make out. I rolled my eyes and went to the kitchen for a glass of water. "No, I haven't asked her if I could have the party yet" he sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, "It's the week of finals Jo, she's not gonna be very happy with it" Zach was hunched over himself, leaning on the counter top.

"Ask me what?" I asked, making my presence known.

"Holy shit!" Zach gasped, clutching his hand to his heart, "God damn women, are you a mouse!?" he asked. I laughed a little, "So I uhh, I know it's the week of finals, and it's fine reallly if you dont want to, bu-" Jesus man just ask her already! I heard Jonah yell through the phone, Zach rolled his eyes, "would you mind if me and Jonah threw a party here tonight?" he winced, awaiting his answer.

"You mean tonight, the saturday night with finalys on Monday? This saturday, in about what? Three hours? And you didn't even bother to ask me BEFORE HAND!?" I almost yelled. I heard Jonah saying things to Zach and stretched out my hand. He looked at me confused, I raisde my eyebrows and gave a slight nod in the direction of the phone. He hesitated before handing it to me.

Jonah was in the middle of a rant before I placed the phone to my ear, "Hey! Marais!" I snapped, getting him to shut up, "Stay out of this" I warned and hung up the phone.

I gave Zach the phone back and pinched the bridge of my nose and let out a hefty sigh. "I really don't get a say in this do I?" I asked, not looking up to him.

"I mean, you could join us? You are constantly studying, I think you could blow off some steam" I blushed in slight embarressment, but I was still pissed.

"Okay. You know what, fine" I told myself throwing my hands up in the air, "It could be fun, and stress relieving" I concluded, "Fine. We can throw a party, but next time so help me god, Zach Herron, if you ever pull this shit again, you'll have to find a buddies couch to sleep on" I warned him before turning on my heel and leaving to my bedroom. I heard a little victory cheer and a phone start rining.

"She said yes" Zach sighed in relief, then laughed. "I kinda like her to be honest" I head before I walked into my room and closed my door.

It was about 2 hours into this stupid party and the place was packed. Me and Zach had a really nice dorm, it had two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, one room (mine) with a walk in closet, and a pretty spacious living room, sliding doors that led to a balcony, and a decent sized kitchen with an island in the middle.

In the middle of all the drunk bodies pushing up against each other, swaying left to right, I managed to find my best friend. When I reached her I realized she was alreayd drunk and decided against going to her. I wasn't in the mood to party or socialize with drunk slobs (as much as I love her).

I did a 360, taking in all my surroundings. I started to feel a little claustraphobic and needed air, as I turned, I noticed Zachs concered and questioning eyes on me. I stopped and looked at him for a few seconds, then turned to the balcony. I slid open the door but quickly moved to the side of a making out, drunk couple, walking through at the same time.

I held a beer in my hand as I leaned over the railing stargazing. The music was muffled along with all the chaos, it was nice but the wind had started to pick up. I shivered in my spot and started to turn and leave but someone had slung their jacket over my shoulders, their hands pressing firmly on my shoulders to keep it in place.

"Sorry" Zachs voice rang from behind me, "but, it's cold in L.A and you are out here without a jacket" he tensed his body as he came to stand beside me, his hands dug into his pockets. "You feeling okay?" he asked after a few seconds of silence.

"Hmm?" I asked, completely not paying attention even though I heard him clearly, "oh" I spoke softly, "yeah, I'm fine" I nodded, turning my attention from the stars to him. He was studying me, looking me over and over again.

"You know, it's not really normal for people to go to a party, and then stay away From the party?" he chuckled.

"Well, I didn't really have anywhere else, seeing as though I live here" I pointed out, raising my eyebrow.

"True, true. So you aren't the party type?" he asked. I shook my head. "I'm sorry I kinda forced this onto you then" he winced to himself, obviously feeling selfish.

"No, it's okay. It's nice to be surrounded by people instead of books sometimes" I gave him a tight lips smile.

"Well, maybe we could be surrounded by normal, sober people, in a nice little cafe, on a date sometime?" he asked. I blushed a little and turned back to the stars.

"And you promise no alcohol?" I asked, teasing him slightly. He threw his hands in the air and smiled.

"Cross my heart" he gae ma a cheeky smile, "what do ya say?"

"mmm" I humed, making him wait, "sure" I finally agreed.

It was a great first date to many with Zach Herron to say the least.
