"Wait!" I hissed, tugging his hand back towards me. "Look." I pointed to the sign hung up on the wire fence.
Jonah snickered. "C'mon, have a little fun." His smirk made me swoon, but I just shook my head.
"Jonah it's trespassing!" He ignored me, walking up to the fence.
He turned to me, "it's fun," he wiggled his eyebrows as he turned to start climbing. I groaned and stomped my foot on the ground. "Pouting isn't going to stop me," he called down. I smiled at his stubborn ass and started climbing up after him.
* * *
"Y/N!" Jonah yelled back to me as my hand slipped from his.
"Right behind you Jo!" I called back, letting him know.
Yes, I told him It was a bad idea. Yes, I told him we should have left. Yes, we are currently running through the streets of LA trying to escape the cops.
Jonah skidded to a stop and turned to me. Quickly, he grabbed me and threw me into a dark alleyway behind a grocery store. There was barely enough room for us to stand side by side, so we ran halfway down before stopping to catch a breath.
"See," Jonah spoke between gasps, "fun." He chuckled.
I was about to reply when we heard shouting. Pressing his finger to his lips, he pushed on my shoulder to make me crouch. He bent down in front of me as we hid behind the dumpster. Thankfully, it didn't stink.
We saw the beam of a flashlight scan over the alley quickly. Both going wide eyed, Jonah pressed me further into the wall.
Our breaths were shallow and the air around us was hot. When we looked at each other, we couldn't help but chuckle a little.
When I gained control over myself, I looked to see Jonah watching my lips steadily. He was no longer laughing as he stared at me, but I stared at him the same way.
He licked his lips as his eyes flickered to my eyes. I was amused at his efforts to contain himself, but I knew he wouldn't last long.
His hands held my head steady as he slowly leaned in to touch my lips with his. I parted slightly, letting him take control. I felt the same butterflies I always felt when he kissed me, but this one was cut short. He pulled away when he was satisfied enough.
He cleared his throat before standing to his feet. "We better go," he extended his hand out to me, "they're still looking for us." I nodded and took his hand, letting him pull me to my feet.
