♥ Chapter Fifteen ♥

The planning for the house was in full swing as Abby met Jordan at the site "You're still coming for the doctors appointment ?"

"Of course I am I wouldn't miss it for the world Abs "Jordan reassured her as he put his arms around her

"I brought you lunch "Abby smiled as she handed him a bag from the local bakery café .

"Are you eating with me ?" Jordan asked hopefully

Abby nodded "I figured a quick lunch with my love would be nice before we see the doctor "

Abby seemed to have opened up more and more in the weeks since their engagement .

Jordan could see the change in her as she began to open up to him more about everything

They spent their nights making love or simply holding one another and talking about anything and everything from their childhoods at the lake to the plans for their own baby .

Abby kissed Jordan's cheek to bring him back from his thoughts

"What's on your mind J?"

"Just thinking about everything that has happened over the last two weeks

A month ago I thought I'd lost you for good and then fate stepped in and here we are getting ready to see the doctor for our baby's first ultrasound I'm just beyond happy and overwhelmed in a good way"Jordan explained before kissing her deeply

A series of whistles erupted around them as Jon and Luke began teasing them

"Get a room "Jon chuckled

"Don't you have to be to the doctor soon?"Luke asked chuckling

Abby looked down at her phone "We better get going or we're gonna be late "

Jordan balled up his trash and tossed it into the nearby trash can before taking Abby's and doing the same

They took Abby's car to the appointment and made it with a few minutes to spare

The nurse greeted them after Abby checked in and they were immediately whisked to an exam room

The nurse took Abby's vitals and weight as Jordan sat in the chair and looked on nervously excited

Abby described her morning sickness and other aspects of the pregnancy that seemed to pop up in the weeks since the positive test

The doctor came in a few minutes later smiling

"Let's see if we can see the baby sound good ?"

Both nodded at older man

After a few minutes the doctor had the doppler over Abby's abdomen

"See right here there's your baby would you like to hear the heartbeat?"

Abby nodded excitedly as Jordan took her hand "Yes we would "

The sound of the baby's heartbeat filled the tiny room as Jordan squeezed her hand looking on a look of awe crossing his face

"That's our baby we created that "he whispered in her ear

Abby squeezed his hand "We did "

The doctor handed Jordan a disc as Abby wiped off the ultrasound gel

They scheduled another appointment for a month and blood tests for all of her levels

They exited the doctor's office and Jordan pulled her into his arms

"Let's take a ride to the lake and show your grams I'm sure she misses you and would love to catch up "

Abby smiled He'd read her mind she missed her grandmother and wanted to see her .

"Don't you have work ?"

"I took the afternoon off to spend it with you I know you said you didn't have class or weren't going back to the bank after the appointment"

"I'll drive so you can rest while we drive to the lake "Jordan offered

"I want Grams cupcakes "Abby mentioned as he drove the hour to the lake

"She doesn't know were coming you may be out of luck" Jordan teased as he made his way onto the highway
