I got to our apartment and took my shoes off before walking on tippy toes to my bedroom and sigh in relieve that Mia was already sleeping. I close my bedroom door and strip down and walked into my bathroom.
How am I gonna live with this guilt for deceiving someone like that. I have never done anything like this before. I gave myself to Stefano, because I wanted to, because it felt right at that moment. I walk to my bedroom and lie down on my bed. What will his reaction be when he wakes up and realise that I'm gone. I laugh to myself. I bet that I'm the only woman crazy enough to walk away from Stefano De Luca after a night of mind-blowing passion.
I close my eyes and fell asleep with him still on my mind. I got up the next morning and guilt took over again, so I tell myself that it was just a night with a handsome billionaire and he will never find out about my true identity. A few times during the day Mia will talk to me about something and I won't hear her. "Mona, why are you so distracted today, did anything happen last night."
I cough before looking at Mia. "Sorry sis, I think I had to much to drink last night, what did you say again." She laughs and told me to take something for it. "Oh, before I forget, Diablo is coming over for lunch tomorrow, if that is ok with you." Ah, more guilt. The best thing for me to do is to just forget about my night with Stefano, although it won't be easy. "Its no problem Mia, you know Diablo is always welcome here."
The rest of the day went by and on Sunday, I helped Mia making food before Diablo comes. He knocked on the door at exactly lunchtime and hugged me, then took Mia into his arms. "If you two are planning to smooch, then please wait till I'm not around," I said jokingly to them and they both laugh.
We were sitting by the table and while we were eating, Mia started talking about the Ball and how much fun it was. I saw Diablo watching me, so I kept myself busy by eating my food. "My brother came knocking on my door yesterday and asked me about the two lovely ladies I was with at the Ball. He was actually more interested in you Mona." I feel all the color drain from my face and looked at him. "Did...did you tell him who we were."
"No, actually I told him that the ladies I was with, will never even think of getting involve with him. Did I do the right thing to tell him that Mona." I didn't bother answering him, as I knew Diablo knows that something happened between me and Stefano. "Of course you did the right thing Diablo, because my sister won't get seriously involve with you brother, everyone knows about his reputation with woman."
Diablo looks at me one more time, then turn towards my sister. "You right babe, maybe its best that my brother don't find out who the two woman was. Let's just forget about him and enjoy our day." I sigh and poke around with my food. After lunch, we sat down in the diningroom and talked for a while, then Diablo got up and said that he still have a few papers to go through before tomorrow. I walk to the kitchen and start cleaning the dishes to give them some privacy and after a short while Mia came inside.
"Mona, Diablo wants you to walk down with him, as there was a file he wants you to give to Stefano tomorrow, because he won't be able too." I sigh and wipe my hands on my pants nervously, then walks to where Diablo was waiting for me. We walk out of the apartment to his car and he opens the boot and took out a file and gave it to me. As I take it from his hand, he holds on to it and I look at him confused.
"Mona, what happened between you and Stefano, because I have never seen my brother in such a frenzy. He is adamant to find out the identity of the woman, so you better tell me the truth" How many times do I still have to lie about what happened. "It was just a stupid thing to hide my true identity, but he can never know that the girl was me Diablo, so I'm begging you not to say anything."
"Look Mona, I know that you hiding something from me and I won't pressure you about it, but I know for a fact that something happened between the two of you."
