I got to work in the morning and went through my schedule first to see what's on the agenda for the day and saw that Stefano have three meetings. His first meeting were scheduled for nine, so I walked to his office to remind him about it. I felt so nervous to come face to face with him again, so I took a deep breath and knock before I walk in. "Stefano..."
What I saw infront of me had me reeled in shock. Stefano was sitting behind his desk and 'Barbie' was sitting in his lap. It looked like they were busy making out. I move backwards the same time as Stefano threw her off his lap and stormed out. A few seconds later he came out of his office with a furious 'Barbie'. "What the hell is wrong with you Stefano, you can't treat me like this."
"Get the hell out of my building and if you ever come back, I swear to you that you will regret it," he bellowed. My heart felt like it have been broken into a thousand tiny pieces. It just shows you what type of man he is. I sit behind my desk and looked down, pretending to be busy. I hear the girl storm out, but still I didn't look up. I think if I have to look at the amusement on his face right now, I would strangle him with my bare hands.
"Mona..." I decided to ignore him. "Mona, listen to me, its not what it looked like. She came on to me and jumped into my lap seconds before you walked in." Why should I believe a word he says and anyway, what Stefano does is not my business, I'm only his assistant after all.
I look up at him then. "You know Mr De Luca, what you do is none of my business. I'm sorry that I had to walk into your office unannounced, but after all, this is a business." I her him curse. "Dammit Mona, I want you to know my business...I don't want you to think the worst of me." I look at his eyes and saw anger, hurt, desperation. How long will it take before another one of his floozies came around.
"You should go sir, you h..." He came around my desk so fast that I didn't have a chance to say more and pulled me out of my chair. "You make me so damn mad sometimes," he growls out and smack his lips on mine. The kiss went deeper and I could feel myself melting against him and moaned. A few minutes later, he pulls away slowly and look into my eyes. "I just wanted to say that you have a meeting to go to" and I hear him laugh softly.
"You know Miss Lopez, I think you would be the death of me." He went to his office to grab some files, rushed over to me and kiss me on my lips, before walking out the door while whistling.
What the hell just happened, why did he kiss me like that and I can't believe that I kissed him back. My mind was so focused on what happened, that I had trouble getting back to work. It was just before lunchtime when the office phone rings and I answer it, just to hear Diablo's voice on the other end.
"Mona, do you know if Stefano is planning anything I should know of." I was confused at the question and asked him what he meant. "Its just his attitude today, he walked into the boardroom this morning, while whistling with a big smile on his face. Can you believe that he even cracked some jokes with some of the Board members. If I wasn't so shocked myself, I would of found it hilarious the way they looked at him and my parents...now that was a funny sight to see."
My mind went back to the kiss. No, that can't be the reason. Imagine the shocked look on Diablo's face if I had to say, 'maybe because he kissed me." I laugh as I imagine his face and of course Diablo heard me laughing and asked me what was so funny. "Nothing Diablo, I'm afraid I can't help you there. Maybe he was just in a happy mood." Diablo snorts, "happy mood my ass, I'm telling you there is something different about him, but I can't puzzle him out."
We talked for a few more minutes after that, then hang up. I went to the kitchen and made myself some herbal tea, because my stomach couldn't handle any other drinks this last few days.
