II. Boss

SHE made sure that she's 100% ready for her first day at Castle Corporation. Donning on a red fitted dress and black stilettos, she click clacked her heels on the marble floor at the lobby. Ngayon niya lang tinignan nang maigi ang lobby at maganda ang disenyo nito. Minimalist design of black and white, accentuated with the color gold.

She clutched tightly on her company ID with her photo, name, and position printed on it. Clara still feels overwhelmed as she waits for the elevator to arrive at 20th floor where her office is situated. Ngayon siya ia-assist ng Assistant Brand Manager niya sa mga dapat niyang gawin.

When she arrived at her office floor, she went directly to the Assistant Brand Manager's secretary to ask for assistance. Clara was led inside the office and was introduced.

"Mr. Sevilla, meet Ms. Clara Therese Montenegro, the new brand manager," Rica, the secretary, said. "Ms. Montenegro, meet Mr. Calvin Sevilla, your assistant brand manager."

Mr. Sevilla stood up to shake her hand. "It's my pleasure to finally meet you, Ms. Montenegro. It would be an honor to work with you in Castle."

Clara's lips, covered in a red shade of lipstick, curved into a wide smile. "It's good to meet you. Just call me Clara, no formalities needed because we work together. I hope our positions in the company will not interfere with how we work together."

He chuckled a bit then nodded. "Sure, you may call me Calvin, then. May we start with your office tour?"

Nilibot siya ni Calvin sa buong floor para i-tour siya sa pantry, work area, conference room, and lastly, her office. It was empty, of course. Clara's mind immediately pictured the design she wants to see in her office. Outside the office is Honey's desk, her secretary.

Ikinatuwa ni Clara na meron na siyang secretary at office rito. Sa dati niyang trabaho, assistand brand manager na siya pero wala siyang sariling office o kahit secretary. Dito sa Castle, lahat ng may position sa kumpanya ay meron.

"We're going to have a board meeting later 1pm at the conference room of Mr. Castillo," Calvin said. "Puntahan kita rito mamaya para sabayan kang pumunta roon."

Clara nodded then thanked him. She settled inside the office and inhaled sharply.

"Ito na talaga 'yun, self. Deserve mo 'to," Clara said to herself. She placed her Charles & Keith bag on the desk then sat on the office chair. May mga gamit naman na sa loob tulad ng computer, school supplies, lamp, couch, chairs, coffee table, desk phone, and an empty bookshelf.

Honey then entered her office, holding several folders in her hands. She was smiling at her and sat on the chair in front of her desk. Clara smiled back at Honey. Nakaramdam ng magandang aura si Clara kay Honey kaya pakiramdam niya ay magiging maayos ang boss-secretary relationship nila.

"Welcome to Castle, Ms. Montenegro!" bati nito sa kanya. "Ako po si Honey Sy, your secretary and personal assistant. I'm always one call away, just dial 1 and I'll immediately respond!"

Clara chuckled. "Nice to meet you, Honey. What's my agenda on my first day as a brand manager?"

Honey handed her the folders she brought inside Clara's office. "You have to review and sign these design proposals for approval. There are also documents regarding pricing and sales of all Castle products that you have to review as well. You also have the board meeting later."

Clara nodded then thanked Honey. Her secretary went out of the office so she decided to start working. Hindi mapigilang mamangha ni Clara sa mga design proposals ng employees ng Castle Corp., talagang high quality and high class ang mga gawa ng mga ito. Kahit hindi pa na-meet ni Clara ang mga empleyado niya, she's already excited to work more with them.
