When I got to a little clearing, Cole couldn’t hold off anymore. I could feel the pain and pressure while also being able to hear the cracking of bones, I quickly discarded my clothes behind a tree so they weren’t torn apart. Cole ran around, killing small animals and eating them as if he had been starved, which in a way I guess he had. He hadn’t actually been able to do anything recently, I was too scared to shift.

After a while, Cole finally tired himself out and gave me control again. I walked over to a small stream and started cleaning my face with my paws. My jade colored eyes reflected back at me, and as I stared at the tiger before me, it almost didn’t seem real. As a child, tigers were one of my favorite animals. They were strong, fearless, and beautiful animals. When I found out I was one, it was a shock to say the least. Now, seeing my fur soaked with blood, it didn’t seem quite so beautiful. It only seemed violent and instinctual.

As I laid in bed, I thought of my mate. He seemed to be kind, and I almost thought I should tell him, but all I could think about was Brin and Trent.
