Adrien peeked through the door, and then walked in, seeing that Marinette was sleeping.
I'm so sorry, Marinette.
He ran his fingers through her hair. I had to reject you, but I didn't mean to do it in the worst way possible.
He didn't realize he was saying it out loud, and when he did, he didn't care. It wasn't like Marinette was listening anyway.
"My dad is terrible. He doesnt like it when I go out with someone. He wouldn't let me get close to a girl. In fact... You're the first girl I've ever had a full conversation with.
"I know you're hurt, but I hope you understand and give me a chance to explain.
"I really like you. I do. I'm just not sure my dad does, and Lina doesn't either. My dad always does anything to make Lina happy, so if she says we can't be together, then he'll make sure we can't be together."
He leaned in and placed a kiss on her forehead, before walking up to the door.
As he started to leave, he didn't notice the eyes of the bluenette suddenly flung opened.
"What were you doing in there?" Adrien stopped at his tracks and turned to Lina.
She was carrying something in a small bag and a glass of water.
"Where are you headed to?" Adrien asked, deciding to return the question back at her.
"Don't answer my question with a question!" Lina gritted her teeth. "But if you're not going to answer, then go to your room and stay there!"
Something didn't feel right. Adrien could feel it.
"There are only five rooms upstairs, and two of them are empty!" He stated. "Marinette has got one room, Mom has got one, and I've got the other. Now if I remember correctly, your room was downstairs, along with Gabriel's!"
He had never called his dad by his first name, but he didn't care at the moment.
"What are you trying to point at?" Lind asked.
"It's either you're getting a new room upstairs, or you're going in Marinette's and Mom's room. And I have a feeling the reason won't be very pretty." This was a way of Adrien refusing to stay in his room. "Care to explain?"
"I'm not sure your father would love to hear that you're disrespecting my order!" Lina smirked.
Look at you, using my dad as a shield. He dared not to say that out loud, but he still refuesed to go to his room.
"I remembered I have something to tell Marinette that I forgot to tell her." He headed straight to the door that led to Marinette's room and walked inside.
He heard footsteps walking down the stairs, so he knew Lina had gone back down stairs.
"What are you doing?!"
He jumped at the voice and turned around. "Marinette, you're awake?"
"No, I'm still sleeping."
Adrien rolled his eyes. "Are you feeling better?"
Marinette remembered his words when he first came here. She let out a smile.
"Yeah, I am."
"Okay, good." He didn't realize he had walked up to her and pulled her into a hug, until Marinette hugged him back.
"But is there something you want to tell me, Adrien?" She asked, not breaking the hug.
"Huh? What?" Adrien looked at her, confused.
"Are you really pretending not to know?" This time she broke the hug and folded her arms.
"I really don't know what you're talking about," Adrien exclaimed. "Is there something I should tell you?"
"Fine, keep acting that way," Marinette huffed and looked away. "Leave! When you're ready to tell me, then you can come in here again."
Adrien reached for the door, then turned back to her.
"Sure, but when you're ready to tell me what I'm hiding, then you can come to me.."
And he left.
