Adrien knew he wasn't going to be staying here forever, but it felt nice to be away from his father for a little while.

Alya had agreed for him to stay, to make Marionette happy. She let him stay even though she wanted to so bad know why.

She looked over at Marinette, hoping that her bestie was ready to talk to her about what was happening. But uusually Marinette was always busy with Adrien.

Two days before Marinette could finally move back to her own bakery, Marinette walked over to Adrien. Adrien had his own room while Marinette and Alya shared a room.

She entered his room, forgetting to knock.

"A-Adrien..." She gulped at the sight she wasn't supposed to see. Quickly she turned around. "S-sorry, I didn't know you were still changing."

Her face was red. It was a good thing Adrien had his pants on, or else seeing him in his boxer could have made her faint.

Adrien didn't have that many pair of clothes. Just one, the one he had been wearing the day they had ran into Gabriel. They've been here for two days, Adrien had been wearing big clothes that belonged to Alya's father.

"It's okay Marinette. I'm done now." Adrien smirked when Marinette turned around, only to see that he was still shirtless.

He grabbed her arm before she could leave, due to her embarrassment, and pulled her closer to him.

"What did you want to tell me?" He asked, getting closer to her, just to see her red face, which he found unbelievably cute.

"I...I... I just wanted to tell you t-that, um..." Marinette tried not to look at him, but she couldn't help taking a peek. "Um, in two days, I'm going to be going back home because that's the day my parents are coming back."

"Oh," Adrien stopped his smirk, knowing this was serious. He knew he would be leaving this place and going back to his mansion that he wouldn't dare call home, but he just never knew it would be this soon.

"Don't get your hopes down," Marinette exclaimed, forgetting that Adrien was shirtless. But when she turned around to face him, she quickly looked away again.

"Why shouldn't I get my hopes down?" Adrien asked, his smirk coming back.

"Ah, because, if you want, you can come live in my bakery. Possibly even for the rest of your life."

"I can do that?" Adrien wasn't sure if her parents were going to accept, after all they might decide to call his father to make sure he was okay with it. But if they did call him, Gabriel was just going to say he wasn't okay with it, making him come back to his own cold mansion.

Marinette could see through him. "Don't worry. We can make something up. They'll believe me, you'll see."

"Marinette... Thank you," He released his smirk and let out a smile. He still wasn't sure, but if Marinette was sure, then he was going to believe her.

"Alright, what's going on?"

Marinette and Adrien turned to Alya, who had been listening to their conversation.

"I mean, I'm getting curious every single time you two are together!" Alya exclaimed, folding her arms. "Why does Adrien need to be away from his mansion. Why doesn't he go home? Is there anything wrong with his home?"

"No Alya, it's not like that." Marinette turned to Adrien, who was looking away from both girls.

"Okay, then can I know?" Alya asked. "Don't you think I deserve to know as well?"

"Well... That all depends on if Adrien wants to tell you or not..." Marinette looked down at her feet. She counted her toes while the awkward silence continued.

"I just need to escape from my dad for a while," Adrien finally replied. "He's been kinda... Wacky, and I need to get away from him for a while so he won't be able to hurt me."

"Oh," was all Alya said.

"Yeah," Adrien nodded. He didn't go deep in the details but he said enough for Alya to understand what he was trying to say.

"Tell him to get some help," Alya shrugged. "I mean... You can't hurt people, that's against the law. If he's got a problem, tell him to get someone to help him with it."

"But I don't know what his problem is," Adrien exclaimed as he threw himself to his bed.

"Well, then I'm sorry I asked." Alya headed for the door. "It must have been hard for you to tell me that. If I find a way to help you, Adrien, then I'll do everything I can."

"Thanks."
