He shivered.

He glared.

He got scared.

He got angry.

He was frightened.

He was frightening.

"Adrien, are you okay?" Marinette asked in worry. She had just watched Adrien close his eyes.

Adrien re-opened his eyes again, and when he looked this time, Gabriel wasn't there anymore.

"Miss, may I have a milk shake too?"

Adrien gulped when he heard the voice. He quickly turned to Marinette, who had heard the voice as well but not much into it.

"Let's... Go somewhere else," He suggested quickly.

"But we just got here," Marinette frowned, even though she let Adrien take her hand and pull her away.

Suddenly someone else grabbed her other hand. Adrien looked past Marinette to see Gabriel.

"Why are you two leaving already?" Gabriel flashed them a smile, but it wasn't hard for Adrien and Marinette to know it was fake. "Why don't you join me? It would he great. Father, son, and son's girlfriend."

Adruen knew there was no way he was getting out of this. If he returned home, Gabriel would follow and probably give him ten times worse than he did before.

If he left, Gabriel was sure to follow him anywhere.

"S-sure father." He didn't know what came over him, and he could tell that Marinette was also confused. Something else seem to be in her mind though as thru took a seat.

He called me Adrien's girlfriend.

"So, what brings the two of you here?" Gabriel asked, eager to begin a conversation.

I should be asking you that! Adrien thought, but he kept calm. Surely Gabriel wouldn't hit them in front of so many people, right?

"Uh... We... We were on our date," He blurted. He had to admit, he loved the face Marinette showed when he said that.

"Oh really, well then I'm sorry I interrupted your date." Gabriel exclaimed, pretending to show such a sorry look on his face.

Are you really sorry though?

"Adrien," He suddenly turned cold. "I came here for a reason. I need you to return home so we can talk."

Adrien and Marinette looked at each other. Both shared the same thought.

He's going to kill me.
He's going to kill him.

"Uh, actually Mr. Agreste. Me and Adrien aren't done with our date yet. We were just about to leave to go somewhere else," Marinette said, eager to leave.

"Oh? But didn't you two just get here?" Gabriel asked, folding his arms. "I may have been... Watching you."

Adrien shivered at that. They had been watched the whole time.

"We only came here to grab a drink and then leave, that's all," He said, hoping that Gabriel was buying it.

"Whatever," Gabriel shrugged as he stood up. "You're still gonna come home, so why bother?"

Adrien looked down. That was true, and he hated that it was true. No matter how much he spent outside of his mansion, he was still going to return home and get beaten.

But, it was better to hang out with Marinette, share some good times with her, just in case it was going to be his last.

Gabriel gave them one more cold stare, before he left the store.

"It's okay Adrien," Marinette exclaimed. "What did I say about taking care of you? You're not going back to that "home" of yours."

Adrien looked up at her. He loved her bravery, but sometimes he thought she was wasting time on him. He wasn't even going to last long, why bother to help him.

"Don't forget you're Chate Noir, Adrien," She said a little quietly, getting closer to him. "Chat Noir would never give up." It was as if she read his thoughts.

"Then what am I going to do? Where are I going to stay?" He wondered pit loud."

"Adrien Agreste, you're going to be living with me at Alya's house!"
