Austin's POV

I woke up the next morning with a small headache and I was still kinda sore. I slowly opened my eyes, it was really bright since the blinds were open but I got used to it.

I looked around the room to take in my surroundings. It looked like your typical hospital room.. not much life in it.

My mom was sleeping on the couch. She looked so peaceful but also uncomfortable, which is understandable considering what she's sleeping on.

I decided to let her sleep a while longer so I went on my phone. I was playing flappy bird but I started getting really mad at it and eventually slammed my phone down. Oops...

My mom woke up and greeted me with a smile. "Goodmorning Sunshine" she said laughing a little. " Ha ha mom... how'd you sleep?" I asked trying to sounds interested. "Fine, thank you! So you ready to go home today?"

"Well actually I was hoping I could stay with Jasmine.." My voice trailing off. "Sweetheart, I know you wanna be here for her, but you should really go home and get some rest." she said, trying to persuade me. "What if I stop in to see her before we go and I'll come back tomorrow?" I asked hopefully. She sighed and said "I suppose that would be fine."

After I got the okay from her I started to gather some of my stuff to go home. I didn't get too far though... all I could think about was Jasmine. I hope she will be okay.... I need her. She's the only girl for me and no matter what happens I'm gonna be there to help her through it all.

I started thinking about our future together. As much as I love Texas, I think we will move somewhere else... Miami? maybe Santa Barbara.. or Chicago.. who knows. We would have two kids, one boy one girl. Of course we can't control what happens with that but I can hope right? We can be a happy family.

Suddenly I was snapped out of my thoughts when the doctor came in. "Whose ready for some good news!?" Dr. Thompson cheered. My mom and I just stared at him, confusion written on both of our faces. "You're free to go home now! All your tests came back clean and you should be fully recovered in a few weeks." he said. "That's fantastic!" my mom yelled running over to hug me.

"Any news on Jasmine?" I asked hope filling my voice. "Normally I wouldn't share other patient info, but this is a special circumstance..." he paused. "Her tests came back clean as well and her memory should be perfectly fine when she wakes up." he said with a smile. My face instantly lit up. "That's amazing!! Thank you so much doctor! When can I see her?" I asked all in one breathe.

"Actually you can see her right now! She's in room 356." he said. I thanked him as I ran out of the room. It hurt a little to run, but for Jasmine i'd do anything.

Finally I found the sign with her room number on it. I hesitantly opened the door and closed it softly behind me. I walked over to her and brought a chair to the side of her bed.

She looked so peaceful. The only sound in the room was the heart monitor. People take it for granted to have their loved ones with them, but once you see them laying lifeless by you it all becomes priceless. I gently grabbed her hand.

"Jasmine... it's me Austin. I don't know if you can hear me, but in here and I need you to stay strong. The doctors tell me you're doing well but I'm still worried sick. I love you baby girl and I can't stand the thought of not being with you. You're my everything and I want to spend the rest of my life with you." I said with my voice cracking through each sentence.

"All of me, loves all of you. All your curves and all your edges, All your perfectly imperfections.." I sang softly while rubbing gentle circles on the back of her hand with my thumb.

Suddenly I felt something squeeze my hand. My eyes shot up to meet Jasmine's. She was crying. "I love you too Austin."
