One week away from service termination, Jonah had improved slightly. The movement in his hands were a little better but mostly involuntary plus he hadn't opened his eyes just yet. His ribs, feet and hands were healed and the bandages were alot less now. Kate could see Jonah's face properly now. The Jonah she fell in love with all those years ago. So peaceful he looked unaware of the turmoil that would be his demise in approximately seven days.

While Kate held Jonah's hand to her forehead pressed against his knuckles she felt his fingers moving so she looked up. Jonah's eyes were opened but after such a long time in darkness he couldn't focus just yet. Kate shouted urgently for the nurse to enter Jonah's room. Just then, doctor, security and nurse came rushing through the door frantically. Upon approaching the room and noticing Jonah's eyes flickering frantically they started to examine his vitals while the doctor flashed his light in Jonah's eyes to check his pupils.

At this point Kate was at the corner of the room helplessly looking on at the procedure of the hospital staff. The security was just around to ensure the safety of the doctor and nurse. During the mele, Kate overheard the doctor saying Jonah's breathing was improving but still light on his own so they couldn't disconnect the machine just yet. It was still too early for Jonah to talk so Kate didn't expect much. She was just happy that he was awake and doing better.

The bell for visiting hours couldn't come at a more unrealistic time. Kate had just seen her boyfriend literally wake from the dead. Not much people come back from something like what Jonah went through. He was one of the lucky ones. Unfortunately Kate had to leave, the hospital had really strict rules so she had to abide or never get to visit without a stamped pass from the government, which was hard to obtain.

Kate upon exiting the hospital called Latifah and Michelle to spread the good news. Kate knew Jonah wouldn't give up since she knew he really loved her. It had really been an emotional rollercoaster thus far for Kate and others but mostly for Kate since she was the main fault for everything that happened that day. Kate had to pass some time before the next visit so she walked around the city looking for a gift to show how sorry she was. On the way she did obtain some nice clothing for herself and Jonah.

She could already feel the trips with Jonah, wind in her hair, kissing at any interval, type moments. Then reality struct as a truck horn startled Kate as she was about to carelessly cross the street. Kate's fantasy was also interrupted by her thoughts as well,

"Jonah woke up but how can I be sure he would forgive me and everything wud be back to normal?" Kate thought.

All Kate could do at this point was hope and pray for the best. She then continued towards the other side of the street. There she met a man that stood preaching about the choices that man takes as well as the consequences of those choices. Kate could feel her heart drop when he looked into her direction and started to speak about the effects one may have on a human life. It was as if he saw what she was going through and her life up till this point. Honestly it was all to scary to Kate. The mere fact that a stranger could look at you and tell you where in this life you went wrong and the changes you have to make in order for things to go right was an exceptional but frightening experience.

Kate then continued her stroll around the city trying her best to avoid any other preaching strangers. Her stroll led her to a quiet little church not too far from the center of the city. Kate never noticed the presence of thus place until now. Kate knew it was a sign that she had to change her life before she cud fully get Jonah back. The tears and the presence of being there when he needed her the most were just a minor peice of the puzzle.

As Kate opened the old wooden door to the church, she could hear the words of someone crying,

"he was all I had in this world, I chose to be a hard headed individual and gave him a hard time on this earth. Why didn't I see this was going to happen? I loved him so much and because of my nagging and deceitful ways towards him, I've lost the chance to tell him I'm sorry. I miss you so much Joe I miss you! " said the voice.

Kate's heart dropped again as she began to cry. Suddenly a man in a fancy brown robe approached Kate inviting her to have a seat. He offered her a bottle of water and a listening ear for when she was ready to talk. Kate broke down as she spoke to the man telling him all the wrong she did and the effects of her actions.

The man was introduced as the pastor of the church and he welcomed her to join the church anytime she wished. He also offered some advice about the situation that was at hand,

"If you really want to make a difference, I believe you have to change your life and accept Jesus for there is nothing he cannot do!," he said.

Kate had remembered hearing the same statement from her days going to church with mom and dad. But since she stopped going to church with them, had forgotten all about it. Now Kate wished she had continued church, fully understanding the heights of the situation. This was God's way of bringing Kate back to the church or at least closer to him than she has been since her teen years.
