Kate made a conscious decision to attend the church for service that day. The pastor of the church had preached about Kate's situation discreetly, offering advice and Bible quotes that made Kate and everyone else who attended understand. He then proceeded to call Kate to the alter where he then placed some oil on her head and asked the church to pray with him for Kate and her situation to be delivered.
Everyone held their hands up directed at Kate's direction as they all prayed for her situation to become better than it already is. Kate was overwhelmed at the support she, as a stranger to the church, got at that very moment. Tears began to run down her cheeks as she dropped to her knees praying as well. She hurt Jonah so much and he didn't deserve any of this but she believes if God is as good as he is described then it's worth a shot.
Jonah deserves a second chance at life and whatever Kate had to do to make sure he does, she would go out her way to make it happen. Sorry is a minor part of the big story, that's why Kate felt she needed to be drastic in this situation. After the service Kate had realized that visiting hours had already started so she rushed to the hospital to be at Jonah's side for as long as she could.
Frantically panting as she raced up the stairs, Kate had to catch her breath before continuing. On arrival to the room Kate saw Jonah's hands trembling as he forced to feed himself. He tried and tried but each time he came close enough, the spoon fell into the bowl of soup soiling his robes. Tears fell from Jonah's face as the frustration took hold of him. Just then Kate came up to him, took up the spoon and fed him,
"Hey! How long have you been up? I've been worried sick about you Jonah. I love u so much right now, I'm sorry for everything I put you through. I promise to be a better individual to you." Kate said.
Jonah couldn't speak just yet but his muscle excersises had already been started. His lungs were a bit better so the machine was unhooked and the hard decision was avoided. Jonah smiled as he saw Kate, the love of his life. Although he remembered the incident that took place, he smiled lovingly towards her. He stretched out his shaky hands, calling her for a hug. Her warm embrace felt so good after almost twelve months of a bed ridden vegitational state.
Kate had finished feeding Jonah and the look she received was that of a determined loving man. Kate assumed that Jonah heard everything while he was is his coma, since he didn't seem one bit angry at her. Kate couldn't wait to have a proper conversation with Jonah since she had alot on her mind and heart to discuss with him.
The bell sounded for the end of the visiting hour and Kate couldn't be more sad. Her boyfriend had just woken up and she wanted to spend some more time with him but the rules are the rules. Kate couldn't wait for the afternoon visiting hour to comence.
Upon leaving the hospital, Kate had to call Michelle and Latifah to inform them of the current situation. They both were very excited and made arrangements to visit him this afternoon. Kate was thankful for the support from them both and now more than ever, had been extremely happy at this conclusion.
To pass the time, Kate went window shopping in the city. She did anything to get her mind off of the current hour since she knew her excited state would only slow the current time. Kate then had to visit the church again to inform the pastor of the current state of Jonah. She thanked him and promised to come again, maybe even get baptised someday but she was eternally thankful to him and the church for the support they lent when she needed it the most.
"These doors are never closed my dear, feel free to pay us a visit anytime you feel troubled and have nohere else to turn" said the Pastor.
Kate shook her head and smiled in approval. As she exited the church there was a sudden peace of mind that she needed for the longest while. She suddenly stopped and knew it was God's doing.
Who else could perform such miracles?
as she remembered from hearing her grandmother rejoicing as a child. Life had taken a toll on Kate since she stopped attending Sunday school and eventually church on the whole and Kate's way of getting away from all the madness eventually led her to many extreme cycles of vulgar unprotected sexual activities, but by the time Kate met Jonah she tried but couldn't stop the hoe-ish activities.
As she thought about the situation, it seemed funny that God had to put her through this emotional rollercoaster to bring her right back to the front door of the church. Although funny, she was extremely thankful for the journey since it made her faith stronger through Jonah.
Suddenly it was time to return to Jonah at the hospital. Kate made it in time to feed Jonah his food so he wouldn't have to spend another moment shedding any more tears. It was her fault for the accident so therefore she took full responsibility for nursing him back to health. Michelle and Latifah finally arrived bearing gifts for Jonah. Michelle brought a cup that said you are blessed and Latifah brought her usual flowers and post card for him. He was overwhelmed. Tears ran down his cheeks as he squinged his face showing all emotion for the situation. Kate knew if he could have spoken Jonah would of given a short word of thanks that would have emotionally affected each and everyone of them since he was really good with words.
