I was still living with my parents, who didn't mind me staying. To be honest I didn't think my dad wanted me to leave, I have been looking around for apartments to buy as, I had saved up some money for the last couple of years.

I saw a few apartments, which were local and didn't find anything that I liked, I knew I didn't want anything big or flashy just a homely place where I could spend my time.

It had been about 3 months, looking for a place and finally one came up on an ad in the paper. It was actually my dad who found it as he was the only one in the house who reads papers.

I quickly took the paper off him and read over the page. It said:

New apartment up for rent

~Newly refurbished and is located on long street outside the city~

This was it the picture showed my dream apartment with a modern and sleek design that I loved. The location was about half a mile from the centre and only one mile away from my parents house. It ticked all my boxes.

Everything about it was perfect and once I showed it to my mum she agreed too. I got so excited in my head, thinking about where I would put things and that I could have arina out so she could fly about ( arina is my pet bird by the way).

I phoned the number and a woman answered.

"Hello this is homes for you, how can I help?" The woman chirped.

"Hi, I was wondering if I could book a date to see one of your apartments it an ad I saw?" I said unfortunately as I usually did.

"Oh, yes of course, what one would that be?" She asked politely.

I told her and she gave me a date that I could see the apartment in person, I thanked her and hung up. I told my parents the date and they smiled and nodded, they seemed as excited as I was.

The day finally came to when I could see the apartment. I woke up at about half seven on a Saturday morning. I had rang in work, pre-emptively to say that I would be in a bit late.

My parents had got up and had both left as they were going out for the day so I was on my own. I got ready, got changed into some nice cloths, ate my breakfast and brushed my teeth. I was out the door by quarter past eight.

I walked to the place we're the apartment was and saw it, I loved it.

It was then I saw the estate agent striding towards me. She wore a smart suit and smiled as she stopped in front of me.

"So are you here to see the apartment?" she said with a wide smile.

"Umm, yes" I replied.

"Follow me" she said and walked up the steps.

Once she unlocked the door the my dream home, my mouth dropped when I laid my eyes on it. The apartment looked amazing even better than the pictures.

She showed me around in every room and must have seen my face in awe. We walked out of my apartment and back down the steps.

"So will we be hearing from you soon?" She questioned me with a smirk.

"If im being honest, I hope so" I chuckled as I said good bye to the woman.

I turned around with a huge grin on my face as I began to go home. The wind was getting up and the hood of my jacket must have come up and cover me from the harsh breeze.

Only minutes had passed and I suddenly smelt a strong BBQ smell but worse, more like SMOKE! It was then that I heard screaming coming from around the street.

I began to run and I turned the corner, I faced a burning, angry fire that brought a house up in flames...
