I am Just an ordinary girl or is that too typical? Of course with every ordinary girl comes a secret lying inside, waiting to be found... But if anyone finds this secret my whole life could be turned upside down.
Unsure of where or who to turn to...
My eyes widened as I had fought on, to what was happening. My thoughts bounced around in my mind, making me nervous. What do I do?
Running closer to the danger, I could feel the heat at its fullest and it wasn't good. People began to surround the property, some staring with fear, some screaming some running. I heard a cry say that there were a mother and two children in the house, over the crackles of the huge flames, engulfing the structure.
"Where are they!?" A man got out his car and looked in disbelief, most likely being the father of the family.
Nobody answered and just let the flames tell him all he needed to know. I could feel something building up inside of me.
Suddenly, the sound of shuffling and coughing came from the most of the heat. There they were!
A woman, middle aged, came stumbling through with her hand grabbing a small arm (clearly a child) and tugging on it.
"Where's Cloe!?" The woman yelled at the young girl, who had a nearly black face, she had dragged out of the house.
"She let go!" The girl cried, with tears flooding down her mucky face.
All the people who were witnessing this Occurrence gasped in fear. My face dropped before I heard another voice... coughing.
The flames got bigger in a matter of seconds, a loud shudder was heard. The house was about to fall apart, crushing anything or anyone inside.
The only though I had was the girl...
There she was still inside, but viable and close to the entrance.
Without thinking I brought out my power and consumed the flames into them, I could see the glimmer of hope in the girls swollen eyes. I started to take its toll on me and I focused harder than I ever had before. Come on Ella, you can do this, don't let this girl die. Don't let it be her last day!
My thoughts pushed me to keep my hold on the great fire and I could see fire engines coming into the crowd.
Finally the girl had reached -what was the entrance- of the house and trembled through the rubble, towards her distraught mother. Once I realised what had happened, I let go of my hold and the structure fell flat on the ground, leaving everyone in awe.
Because of me that girl is safe.I didn't believe it until I glanced over (now panting) to the family. They all hugged and noticed me. Wait I just uses my powers, in PUBLIC!
Grabbing my hood I walked off away from the crowd hoping no one would see. As I looked back at the scene, news presenters and camera men had joined the people. They went to talk to the woman with the girls and then peered over to me.
I could hear voices behind me, they wanted to talk. I couldn't do anything but run. I ran towards my parents house and round the back. I stayed there for twenty minutes to make sure they were gone.
Thank god they're gone. I run to the front of the house and rushed inside, locking it behind me and shutting all the curtains in the house.
Finally I could understand what just happened.
What have I done!?
