I am Just an ordinary girl or is that too typical? Of course with every ordinary girl comes a secret lying inside, waiting to be found... But if anyone finds this secret my whole life could be turned upside down.
Unsure of where or who to turn to...
Jumping, ducking, dodging and swinging through the army of trees, I felt like it would last forever. I wasn't sure were Arina was leading me but I had faith that she was heading for safety. How am I here? I just want to be normal! I Looked up to see Arina fly yet there was no bird. "Ohh crap"...
*crash*"awwh! Look where y..." he paused, locking eyes with mine," Paige?" He questioned in an almost silent voice. "Thomas!" I yelled and the air was filled with my excitement. "Paige, shushhhh!" He huffed covering my mouth as his eyes searched the surrounding area. I pulled his and away from my mouth frowning at him as I did so. "What?" I whispered as we noticed both of us on the floor.
"Where have you been?" He ignored my question as he got up and helped me up too. "Well..." I was about to tell him the entire story but before I could say another word he pulled me close into a hug making me feel warm and comforted. I rested my head on his chest and let out a deep sigh. "Tell me later, we need to get out of here" Thomas stroked my head as I put his chin on it. As we stood peaceful, I saw what was Arina, sat on a branch, watching up with piercing eyes.
Finally we broke away, still holding hands, tightly. My eyes met his once more,"I don't want to loose you again" I stuttered, realising how important he is to me and feeling butterfly's in my stomach. "So where are we off to now?" I chirped as we began travelling again. "Well we need to get to my friends place. I think it's not to far away now" he replied with hope in his words. I nodded and we headed closer to civilisation and safety.
"How long has it been?" I moaned, after we had been travelling or awhile. "Three quarters of an hour" Thomas replied as bored as I was. "Do you remember when I told you about your powers Ella?" Thomas suddenly said out of the blue. "Yes?" I scoured at him,"What about them?" I questioned suspiciously. "So... I said you can... fly..." he gazed at me. I looked at him with doubt and turned my head the other way.
I looked down, wondering why Thomas had brought it up and before I knew I two muscular hands took my waist and held me up in the air. I squirmed and wiggled at Thomas's hold and then gave up. "What are you going?" I smirked, swinging my ams to the side. "Well I thought it would be a good time to start your lessons"he bluntly stated. "If your talking about the flying, then I've already had lessons" I cheeked crossing my arms as he held me up higher, I kind of reminded me of the simba moment, in the lion king. "Let's put them to the test then" he shrugged and I gave him a confused stare.
Soon enough my question was answered, Thomas threw my up into the air, high above the ground. I floundered in the air for a second and got to grips with the flying thing. Off I glided, somewhat resembling Arina, up and down through the trees like they were easy obstacles. I shot past and began to spin and somersault. I am flying! I had previously done this before but this time it felt different, more exiting and I felt free, it felt like home.
I drifted towards Thomas with a grin from ear to ear and he smiled back at me. Oww! What is that pain? A sharp and agonising pain, throbbed in my back. I just about gracefully landed on my knees, metres in front of Thomas. I squeezed my eyes shut trying to bare the pain. I screamed quietly, knowing I could still be heard. I crouched there for a minute or two, gritting my teeth. "Ella!" Thomas said in a concerned voice. "THOMAS! Ahhhh" I was in soo much pain, tears made my face glisten and my vision went blurry.
Uhhhhh. The pain had subsided and I was left in a Teary mess. "Ella..." silence broke out. My eyes lifted from the ground and up to Thomas's shock. "What" I whispered. Nothing met my question but silence. I quickly glanced back down and carefully stood up. It hurt a little but I soon adjusted to the discomfort. I saw Thomas's face and my pained face turned to pained curiosity.
Twisting my head as far a it would go behind me, I saw what was alarming Thomas...
Huge wings spread out from my back, coming from where the pain was. Whoah! My eyes widened so much I thought they would pop out of my sockets.
