11) "Three words"

Free at last, away from them. The fresh air flooded into my lungs as I stumbled away (with Arina leading up front) from the building, which I could now get a good look at. I seemed to be an old wearhouse with three words on the front and it read "potter and co", which sounded unfamiliar. After taking a brief inspection of it, I carried on running though the mist of trees. Nothing looked out of place as I noticed last time is was in the woods just I felt like something wasn't there... They sweeped out of the building and into the forest, that was then I knew us birds had done our job. To protect Ella, after all, Arina had flown far, to find us and besides I wasn't going to let her down as she hadn't all those years ago.

Signaling my flock to follow my lead out of the building, I heard a door open and a man stepped in, with shock and awe. It was time to get out of there. Moving in sync, the wave of colour glided up to the windows above and out we flew. Once all the birds were out and safe, I glanced back one more time to see what was left of the men. There were many on the floor, trying to get themselves up onto their feet. Unable to stand up, one of the men called out a name;" Diesel!". He exclaimed it, directing it the the man at the door. "Where have you been?" He was shouting now, with anger as he had lost the fight and the will to live, while I perched myself on a metal pipe to hear the conversation. "I was out killing my brother!" He boomed even louder as it echoed in the room. "So" he paused,"Did you?". There was silence. "...no..." the one word was said sorrowful but was still loud. Now was the time to leave.

Thomas's POV

It's been over 9 hours since I last saw Ella and I can't find her anywhere nearby. Oh god, what mess has she got herself into? My heart started to pound from my chest, feeling like it would burst out and that was all because I was worried about her. How could I be worried about her? She's just... I didn't take my thoughts any further but instead I leaned my back against a close tree and sunk down next to it.

I had previously tried to track her as I had last time but something was just a miss. Like someone had done something like dark magic! No! She can't be...

I watched my brother walk away, in the other direction. If he was going anywhere, it would have been.... Potter and co. I tried to rack my brain, to make sense of it all but there was a phrase... a phrase that repeated over and over." They won't be far,  they will catch you" it was then I remembered who had spoke those deadly words, Diesel! Every time I in visioned him, it brought all the pain back. The pain I went through, when when he was around and when he left mother. How could he have been so selfish so reckless?

Piecing all of the events together still made little to no sense but I had an incline and I didn't like it. What if "they" were them, the.... demons. I she was with them, then I would need to get there, and fast.

After the fight I had with Diesel and the lack of sleep, I didn't know how much energy I had left. This is for Ella. I kept telling myself that, over and over till the words sounded foreign and didn't seem right. My only option was to go, see if she was there and most likely run into, not only my brother but Anthony...

So I would just like to start off by saying thank you all, who are reading this. It probably means you have read my other chapters or maybe u don't read it at all 😂. But I don't mind, as I said I did take a little break so now I will get back to writing again. I know this chapter was shorter that some others.
