Thomas's POV

I punched him right in his jaw as I glanced up and watched Ella run through the mist of trees, getting as far away as possible. I looked back down at my bleeding brother, frowning at him in shame. He groaned as his form changed back into his wolf. It was at that moment I remembered how he used to taunt me, when he was in his wolf form and scared me witless. I hated him for that but not as much as I hated him when he left our mother when we were young...

A low bark, followed by a growl, snapped me out of my thoughts. Diesel had gotten back up and was ready for round two. I knew that the longer I stayed here with him, the further away Ella would be and I didn't want her to get into anymore trouble. I warped out of the area, landing behind a tree (about 200 meters away from my wolf brother) and peered around to watch him clear off in the other direction way from Ella. Fuww, she'll be ok for the time being.

Ella's POV

My head felt like it had been hit with a hammer continuously just before it would crack. I opened my heavy eyes only to see a ceiling of grey, I looked down and saw I was lying on a bed, well more like a operating table. I glanced around the empty room, confirming there was no one there. I lifted up my body and dismounted the bed. Nothing was there except for a steel door with huge bolts and hinges and a small window, that was cracked open slightly, letting in some fresh air.

I stood in silence, taking in everything and that was when I heard the sound of foot steps... multiple foot steps. I headed closer, towards the door, putting my ear to the cold steel. "Have you seem him?" A shy voice asked. "Who?" A loud stronger voice filled the air. "You know, Diesel" the first voice replied making me shiver. "He's on his way, I've heard he encountered his brother as well" the voices went silent. How do they know Diesel? What? are they talking about Thomas?

The questions started to flood in again but I held them off as I had bigger problems to think about, like how was I going to get out of this cell.

After about ten minutes after the conversation, I heard the bolt on the door unlock, making a loud click as it slid to the side. An unfamiliar man stepped into the confined room; he made it feel smaller. "So Ella, I have come to talk to you" the man said leaning on the bed with a calm expression. "About what?" I questioned taking some steps back as he entered the room. "You don't have to be frightened Ella" he said eerily, coming even closer to me. " go to hell" I exclaimed, feeling fear for the first time in days. "Look, my name is Anthony Brudenel and I am ruler of the the four types of demons in the area: shape shifters, wolf changers, teleporters and dark energy holders." He spoke in a modest tone.

I glared up at him. "I am one of the dark energy holders and we are powerful but we have been searching for a certain power and when we found that is was you, we knew that you could be a good asset to our group." He said explaining everything that I didn't understand. "But I am good" I stared up at him in confusion. "You see, your power is nether good or evil, only the holder of the power decides which path they take and you have not chosen yet." He finished looking at me with an emotionless face. I must choose between good and evil?

"We want you to join us, become one of us and we can give you everything your heart desires" He spoke, while I envisioned his concept,"You could become as powerful as Some of my strongest demons". He stood by me, expecting some sort of answer. "If I joined you... what would that mean?" I asked turning my head at him. "Well my dear, you wouldn't have to be on the run your entire life as my men would protect and train you." He paused and stayed silent. Just as I opened my mouth to say something he began to speak again:" but there is a small catch... you would only do as I command and never to see anyone else". My face sunk as Thomas came into my mind, what, I can't do this!

I was left to my thoughts as Anthony walked out of the room stopping at the door. "I'll give you some time to think" he said with a tiny chuckle that worried me. What if I didn't choose evil, what would they do to me? I can't choose evil over good can I? I began to feel dizzy and sick, my eyes blurring up, soon falling onto the bed making the springs squick and slept the nausea away.

I woke up to the sound of taping that came from the window. I rubbed my eyes to clear my vision and got up from the bed. I trembled over to the window to see what the unknown sound was. My curiosity turned into astonishment; Arina was at the window pecking the glass, pausing as I stopped in front of the opening. She beamed at me raising her head up towards me. I thought she was never coming back!

We smiled at each other as my bird hopped under the open part of the window onto the sill inside. "I'm so glad your here, Arina" I whispered, making sure no one heard"Her little face stayed the same,"but why did you leave?" I questioned not expecting answer. Her expression changed to a you'll see look and I smiled.

Arina stayed with me for hours until she flew off my head (which was odd as she loves my head as a perch and playing with my hair) and dropped to the window sill, as she got ready to fly out, she looked behind at me, as if she said "I'll be back" and glided freely, out into the open air. That was when the door made a familiar sound, of it unlocking...
