"Hello! My name is Park Jimin. Treat me well" I introduced myself.

I bowed politely before walking over to an empty seat. Students quietly snickered and made comments. Although, when almost all of them were doing it, it filled the room. I let my head drop in embarrassment.

"Yah!"

My head shot up to look at the person sitting on the other end of the classroom. He sat with perfect posture. He had a lanky build, but when he yelled out, it wasn't any less intimidating because of it. I glanced around the room as all the students fell silent. My eyes ultimately landed back on him. He was charming. He had large doe eyes and a natural pout to his lips. Considering his looks and everyone's silence, I'm guessing he's a big deal.

"What business do you have laughing at him? Jimin, come sit with me" He offered.

He shot me a handsome smile. I nodded awkwardly before taking my bag and moving seats. Each seat was paired off into twos. His seat was empty. Until now, of course. As I sat and organized my belongings, I noticed his math book. The name on it read Kim Taehyung.

I settled into it quickly. He was kind enough to grab my bag and set it onto the back of my chair. I nodded my head as a thank you. I looked back up at him and saw his eyes travel to my sweats.

Traditionally, All students must wear their uniforms. Even if you're new, you must show up in your uniform. Schools are strict in this way, but the principle was understanding enough to allow me the first week in normal attire. My mom and I can't afford the uniform until then.

"What kind of outfit is this?" He asked.

My eyes fell to my sweats and I balled up my fist around the fabric.

"O-oh well, my mom um- We didn't really have the money to be moving, so I sold my clothes" I explained vaguely.

He looked as if he was holding back from laughing. He didn't do too well since he ended up snorting.

"How could you be so desperate to move? Did you get made fun of at your old school?"

His tone stuck to me. He laughed as he spoke. Other students began to laugh with him. Everyone was laughing. It caused my face to burn. I felt more than just embarrassed, I was humiliated. All they are doing is laughing, but it left my chest feeling heavy with an emotion I couldn't even describe.

Taehyung gathered himself. He adjusted his tie and popped his neck. He realigned his posture and glanced around the whole class. Nobody had stopped laughing at me. As my head lowered, I saw him raise his hand then slam his fist back down onto the desk. Even though I watched him do it, I still jumped. Immediately after he did it, the class shut up.

I felt confused. He seemed to be making fun of me, but also protecting me from being made fun of. It doesn't make any sense.

"Well?" He asked me, quieter than the last time.

I twiddled my thumbs. I couldn't really bring myself to raise my head to him. I felt small. I have never felt so insecure about myself until now. It's all over something as little as sweats.

"It's personal, but it wasn't an issue with my last school. I-I use to be friendly with everyone. It was nice actually." I answered vaguely again.

I glanced up slowly. The strands of my hair kept me from seeing a lot of him. He had a childish pout on his lips.

"Well alright then." He sounded as if I was a killjoy "It's ok, you'll tell me in private." He cheered up.

I will?
