A/N: Alright, this has been a while. Honestly, I need to get back to this. To be blunt, my health has been messing up the last month to the point that I haven't been able to attend school in said time either.
It's just headaches and stuff, but the Docs are trying to figure out what's going on. I'm ususally exhausted and tired since I'm having a lot of dizziness, especially while sitting up or standing. I feel so old...
Anyways, I figured it was time for me to finally write something on Quotev for real. I've been planning a chapter for the Satori One-Shot for a while, but I never managed to write anything, which leads me to here.
Thank you so much for everyone who's been patient with me, and heyo to everyone who's new.
Do NOT think I abandoned this story.
It's good to come with an update here, but I'll probably be uploading more one-shots these days, just for your information, lol.
Well, that's all I had to say for now. Thank you, thank you, thank you very much once again.

"Hey Keiji? I've been wondering... um..." (Y/N) eyes were squinted at the volleyball between his hands, deeply consentrated on the simple blue and yellow pattern on the object. "What is it, (Y/N)?" The older Fukurodani player replied back in his casual calm tone. Glancing up at him, he let his (e/c) eyes leave the ball. "Well... I was wondering if you could teach me how to toss." Akaashi's eyes slightly widened at the sudden request. "I mean, if it's not too much to ask..!" The libero hurried to add.
"That's not it." Clearing his throat, Akaashi continued his sentence. "I don't mind that. I was just caught off guard." The (h/c) nodded his head in understandment. "I see... Thank you. Would... would this upcoming break be fine?" The boy gained a nod. "Thanks..!" Sighing lightly out in relief , the Karasuno boy turned around before he skipped over to his captain as the Karasuno team readied for yet another penalty up the grass slope.
Setting up yet another ball for the teen, (Y/N) did his best as he attempted to hit one of the many bottles by his feet with his toss. The tosses weren't bad. They had a good arch and his fingers were controlling the ball fine, but the aim was far from outstanding. Missing yet another bottle, the younger turned his attention over to the newly set ball. Glimting something, no rather someone leaping up by his side, (Y/N) tossed it towards them.
The sound of the volleyball hit the ground and a solo applause followed afterwards. Looking around, the libero noticed they were still alone. He tilted his head at Akaashi's clapping, gaining a point instead. A few meters away laid the volleyball and not further than 3 meters was one of the water bottles. His (e/c) eyes widened. Shifting his eyes from his training partner and the result, (Y/N) could keep himself from grinning widely. "I did it..!" Picking up the bottle, the senior handed it to him. "Good job. Let's take a break for now. You've worked hard." Accepting both the bottle and the break suggestion, the two boys sat down on the floor, leaning on the wall. "Thanks."
Opening the bottle, the libero took a gulp of water. Breaking the silence, Akaashi spoke up. "I've been meaning to ask, but... You seem like a good all-around player. What was your position in middle school?" Lowering the bottle, (Y/N) slowly met the other's gaze. "Well... About that..." He sheepishly touched the back of his neck. "I didn't play on a team during middle school. Karasuno is my first team. My childhood friend Aya- I mean... Hayato. He has been teaching me since we were kids." Humming in reply, Akaashi opened his own water bottle which he had fetched before they began to practise.
"Well, that's unexpected."
"Ah... Sorry... -I think..?"
"No, nothing like that. I just thought you'd be a regular on your old team or something. It didn't seem unlikely. Especially not with your level of ability, and how fast of a learner you are." He bluntly stated, spacing off while looking at his water.
"I see... Thank you." While the two continued to relax in silence, the others came into the gym again, ready for another wave of practise. "Well, we should get going. I'll be practising what you've taught me today." Gently smiling at the Fukurodani player, (Y/N) got up from his place. "...Roger that."

"Hedge him in~! Widen your blocking surface area~!" Kuroo instructed to Tsukishima and Haiba as Bokuto was about to spike. "Damn, you're just as tall as ever! Even though you're just a 1st year!" The ace grinned his teeth as the wall rised in front of him. Spiking a return, Akaashi managed to save the falling ball before the libero himself. 'Wait... That means I have to toss it..!' The boy could feel a small shiver run down his spine as the ball came towards him a meter away. He needed to jump, and fast.
Step, leap.
(Y/N) placed his fingers under the ball as he could glimt the star ace from the corner of his eye. As the ball left his fingers, his feet his the ground, looking up just in time to witness the successful cross-spike. "There it is!! Hey hey hey!" Bokuto shouted through the whole gym, but the libero paid no attention to that. Staring back at Akaashi in disbelief of his own hands, he was smiling wider than the last time.
He didn't manage to shout like Koutaro did, but the few words left his mouth above a mere mumble. "I did it... I managed to toss a successful toss. Akaashi, did you see..?!" He beamed happily as he received a nod. The older raised his hands up, palms facing towards him. They both smacked them against each other in a double high five. "Congratulations, (Y/N). You've come far today." The ravenette praised.
Waiting for the others to calm down their shenanigans, the boy couldn't stop looking down at his (s/c) hands.
It was probably just a fluke, this time.
