"Hey I meant to ask yesterday, but I ran out of time. Is that the bracelet I made you?"
Jacob gestured down at her left wrist, where the same bundle of strings from the day before hung loosely.
Clara glanced down. "Yeah, of course. We aren't fighting anymore, you said sorry."
"Yeah, but...I know it looks awful, you don't have to wear it if you don't want to."
"Are you trying to tell me we aren't friends?"
"No, no, I just think the bracelet isn't so great. I know you have other bracelets, I don't want to limit you."
"Do you even know how friendship bracelets work?"
