"Hey, remember forever ago when I bought you all those canera parts?"

"After you--"

"On the condition of you never mentioning that day ever again!" Clara hastily reminded him.

"Right."

"Yeah, well, they came in."

"Oh, awesome. Can I see them?"

Clara handed him a cardboard box with tape wrapped tightly around rhe outer edges. Carefully, he pulled it away, opening the box to an assortment of camera accessories, still safe in their individual boxes.

"This is... a lot."

Jacob looked over what must have been a half a dozen different parts, each probably selling for twenty five or fifty dollars. She must have spent a fortune in him.

"Do you like it?" She asked, eyes wide with anticipation.

"I love it." He agreed, tracing his fingers over the smooth boxes.

"Yay!"

Distracted as he was by his box, Jacob forgot to start the countdown. His camera caught a few seconds of Clara grinnung in his direcgion before he realized his mistake and picked his job back up. His smile chased him until long after he went home that day.
