Taehyung's POV
I left Soeun back at the office and stepped out for a little lunch break, she thankfully passed on my offer saying she was 'too busy' to come out and have lunch with me. What she doesn't know is that I am currently on my way to Jungkooks office to have a 'civil' chat with him about what happened with his mother.
To say that I wasn't infuriated would be a plain lie, I still can't believe that Jungkooks mother would assign someone to stalk Soeun. I had to tell Jungkook about it and set things right once and for all.
...
I take heavy breathes as I approach Jungkooks office, I was very angry with him but at the same time, this wasn't his fault. But still recalling the times that his mother single-handedly hurt Soeun and him doing nothing was far too much.
"Hey Taehyung", Jungkook smiled widely as I stepped into his office.
"Hey, can I talk to you for a second?", I asked and Jungkook approached me.
I'm sorry Jungkook...
My fists came into contact with his squishy cheeks as I punched his cheeks, releasing a bit of my anger. I could see the hurt and confusion in his eyes.
Please forgive me...
"I think there must be a misunderstanding hyung... Please, whatever I did to make you angry I didn't mean to do it.", Jungkook tried to stand up, holding his right cheek with shaky eyes that were glassy due to the tears forming.
"Hyung, please don't be mad at me... You are the only friend I have and I don't want to upset you". Jungkook choked out.
"I'm only partially angry at you. I'm more pissed that your mum decided it was okay to put a stalker on Soeun and profile her as well as stalk her personally.", I snap bitterly saying word by word through gritted teeth.
Jungkooks reaction said it all, he was so confused yet angry at his mum and worried at the same time wondering if anything happened to Soeun. His eyes were glossy like he was about to cry and break down.
"Jungkook, I am going to make this clear, I am going to be very transparent about my feelings for Soeun to both you and her.", I continued.
"If you can't protect her give up now, because I know I can protect her at all costs even if it means costing my own company."
Jungkook remained silent.
"I am sorry this happened and I am thankful that you punched some sense into me, I thought everything would be sorted out if I left the house but it's clear that it did nothing but escalate the situation... I will not give up on Soeun because my love for her is real, and I can protect her and will protect her.", Jungkook finally spoke up.
Finally...
I am fully aware that Soeun has feelings for Jungkook and she doesn't share mine, even though I said I was going to start being transparent about my feelings it was all bark and no bite. I know Jungkook has already won over her heart but I wanted to make sure that Jungkook shared the same feelings. I don't love Soeun any less though, I will continue to love her as I did for all these years.
If Jungkook ever hurts you or leaves you, you know you can always come back to me Soeun-ah...
I was deep in thought when a pair of muscley arms wrapped around my arms trapping me in. I saw Jungkook hugging me and crying into the crook of my neck. This poor boy has been through a lot especially with his family... I know that feeling far too well and I know how lonely it gets. But I had Soeun... And now Jungkook has me and Soeun.
"There, there", I murmur as I pat his back letting his tears subside.
"I'm sorry hyung... I don't want to lose you but I just love her too much". Jungkook cried a bit louder.
"It's okay Kook-ah", I whisper calming the boy down.
"Hyung... I need to step out for a moment, I have someone I need to meet.", Jungkook informs me.
"Why don't we have lunch first? My treat", I smile looking at Jungkook jumping around cheering like a little boy. I felt a little guilty about hitting such an innocent child.
...
Jungkooks POV
I drove directly to my family house after my lunch with Taehyung Hyung. Driving there I kept thinking about how badly they mistreated their future daughter in law. I was so angry at my mother's embarrassing actions.
I walked through the gates of the house as I parked my car in the parking space outside of the house. Each step anger seeped out of me as I barged into the place I once called my home, to people I once trusted and thought that they loved me.
I spot my mother drinking tea in the living room, I fastened my pace towards her until I was towering over her.
"What brings you here", My mother says coldly with a bitter tone, her eyes never met mine.
"You know exactly why I came here, you probably have eyes on me too!", I almost shout.
"Not, her again. So what if I paid some stalkers to profile her. So what if I stalked her myself and tried to make her disappear once more. What does it matter to you.", I couldn't believe how confident she is while listing all the horrible things she has done.
"It's because I love her. I have ever since the day I met her. She showed me what it felt like to be loved. And I will continue to love her despite your attempts". I calmly tell my mother who finally decided to look me in the eyes with her shocked expression written all over her face.
I started walking out, my business here was done.
"W-wait", I could hear my mother in the distance as I can hear the plattering of her feet as she runs towards me.
"I never expected or wanted anything from you or the family... So please just leave me and Soeun alone so I can finally feel loved and have a reason to live. Mum.", Almost breakdown but I hold it in for the sake of Soeun.
I didn't have the strength to hear her response so I just walked away to the car leaving her behind.
Please believe this is the right path for me mum... I want to finally taste that sweet feeling of happiness.
