Tyler woke up panting and his eyes swollen. He looked around confusedly before realizing where he was. He slowly stood up and winced at the pain in his knuckles. He carefully looked down at them and cringed at the sight. Then he looked up at the sky and wondered what time it was. It was definitely morning, but what time? Maybe seven..? Tyler huffed and reached for his phone in his pocket. He tried to turn it on, but there was no battery left.
"Fuck", he muttered and hit his head against the blood-stained tree. "Fucking fuck."
He decided he should probably leave the forest but he didn't know where he'd go. He couldn't march back to his grandparent's house, they wouldn't understand what was going on. He couldn't go home since his parents would be mad. He had nowhere to go. Except maybe.. It was an idiotic idea, but it was his only option. He started making his way towards the end of the forest and softly hummed a melody.
Half an hour later Tyler was standing at the front door of a house, debating on whether or not he had the balls to ring the doorbell.
He did not, but he still ringed it and immediately regretted his decision. The door opened and Tyler looked down at his feet.
"Tyler..?", the lady asked confusedly. Tyler looked up at her and smiled a bit. "I'm so sorry, Josh isn't home right now."
"O-oh..", Tyler frowned. "When will he be back..?"
"I don't know, he was gone when I woke up", the lady, Josh's mom, explained. "No note or anything. It really isn't like him, but oh well I guess."
Tyler just nodded in response, and Josh's mom talked again. "You can come in though, if you'd like to."
"N-no, I think I'll c-come back later", Tyler stuttered, and Josh's mom nodded at him. She bid him goodbye and closed the door, leaving Tyler standing on the porch. He didn't know what he'd do now, so he just sat down on the steps and started crying, hoping Josh's mom wasn't watching.
"Just come back", Tyler whispered into the air, tugging on his hair. "Please, Josh.."
After Tyler had been sitting on Josh's porch for an hour he was finally not crying. He looked up at the road ahead and studied the cars passing by. His mind was starting to circle into a pit of self-destruction, but Tyler had no means of fighting it. Not at the moment at least. He sighed and just sat there, feeling his mind growing more and more violent. He knew he wouldn't even go through with all those plans right now. He laughed a bit at how pathetic he was.
He was literally too tired to even kill himself.
A sudden voice made him jump up. He'd recognize that voice even in his sleep. And it was calling him..?
"Tyler..? Is that you..?"
