"NO TIME FOR REST-

__________

-Tristan stared at her girlfriend with heart eyes, her hand resting under her chin. Aloria Burrier looked up to meet eyes with Tristan, making her blush. "So, you're gonna stare at me while I eat now?" Aloria asked. Tristan smirked. "Well, it wouldn't be the first time." Aloria rolled her eyes.
Tristan pouted. "Fine. I'll stop if it bothers you so much." She teased with a shrug.

Aloria let out an exaggerated gasp. Tristan grinned. The waiter then approached their table.  "Everything okay? Can I get you two anything?" Tristan smiled and shook her head. "Everything's fine, thank you." The waiter left with a nod.

Tristan Stark was already done with her lunch, but Aloria just ate too slow. They were in their favorite small diner in New York City. The past months they hadn't been busy with work so they had decided to take a vacation in the city. Tristan wanted to take this opportunity to see her brother, Tony.

But, before arriving, on the news was footage of Tony and Carly Stark vanishing in a Donut Spaceship.

At first, it hadn't freaked out Tristan, knowing that it wasn't the first time the two heroes were involved in a problem, but that uneasy feeling wasn't leaving her alone.

Aloria continued eating and Tristan took a long gulp of her only drink of survival.

Coffee!

The caffeine was the only thing keeping her awake since she was only running on 3 hours of sleep from the past 3 days. Aloria had that habit of always waking up early and explore around till 3 am. Since they were traveling, they woke up EXTRA early.

There was another reason Tristan wanted to come. She was planning on proposing to Aloria. She had finally come to the decision that this was the woman she wanted by her side for the rest of her life.

Going back to reality, Aloria finished her sub and was smiling widely at Tristan. Tristan held out her hand and Aloria happily placed her hand on top.

"Aloria.....there...um-" This was harder than Tristan had thought. Her voice was failing her in the worst times. Before she can speak again, something happened outside.

There was a crash outside the diner, startling the customers inside. Aloria gripped Tristan's hand tighter as she slowly rose from her chair. They stared at the window as screaming and honking began.  Aloria watched in horror, her face scrunched until it softened at the feeling of something. She looked at her free hand, only to let out a small scream at the sight, making Tristan whip around to face her.

Alorias arm began to crumble and fade. It spread faster and faster. Tristan looked at her love in horror, not knowing what to do.

Aloria gave a small whimper as most of her body disintegrated. "Tris?" She managed to whisper before she was completely gone.

"Al?" She gasped. She fell to her knees and touched what was left of Aloria.

Dust.
