"EVEN IN THE DARKEST NIGHT-"
——————————

VORMIR 2014

-Clint, Natasha, and Ryan stood from their seats to stare at the dark planet. Ryan stood behind the two.

"Wow... Under different circumstances, this would be totally awesome." Clint breathed. Natasha's eyes were wide.

They descended into the atmosphere, and landed on the dark sandlike ground, beginning their walk towards the mountain to climb it.

"I bet the raccoon didn't have to climb a mountain." Natasha panted, speaking once they reached the top and at the entrance of a cave.

"Technically, he's not a raccoon, you know."

"Whatever. He eats garbage." She scoffs.

"Welcome." A voice echoed from the cave. The three were quick to draw their weapons. Natasha whipped out her gun. Clint held his blade. Ryan perched his crossbow on his arm, aiming at the floating figure.

"Natasha, daughter of Ivan." Natasha's gun lowered slightly at the name of the father she never knew. "Clint, son of Edith. Ryan, son of Clarisse." Now it was Ryan's turn to be taken back.

He had never known his real parents either. His look of awareness washed away hearing the one name.

Clarisse.

"Who are you?" Natasha demanded, gripping her gun tightly.

"Consider me a guide. To you, and to all who seek the Soul Stone."

"Oh good. You tell us where it is and we won't bother you."

The Stonekeeper, aka Red Skull, steps into the light, showing his faded red skin. "Oh, if only it were that easy."

The Stonkeeper took the three to an edge of a cliff. Natasha stepped forward, peeking her head over.

"Careful." Ryan came from behind her, whispering into her ear. She nodded.

"What you seek lies in front of you......as does what you fear."

"The stone is down there." Nat says out loud. The bottom wasn't visible, instead coated by darkness, but the drop was deadly.

"For one of you. For the other... In order to take the stone, you must lose that which you love."

Natasha stepped back, parting her lips. Ryan looked back at the guide, furrowing his eyebrows.

"An everlasting exchange. A soul, for a soul."

-They did nothing for a long time. Just to think. Natasha was sitting on a log while Clint watched the Stonekeeper. Ryan's back leaned against the tall stone structure, his arms crossed against his chest.
