"LIKE FRIENDS THEY COVER ME-
————————————

Pow!
Pow!
Pow!
Ryan punched again and again. He clenched his teeth as he ignored the throbbing pain on his knuckles. With one last punch he stepped back, swinging his arms then shaking them.

He began to remove his gloves carefully. Once out he threw them on the ground. He breathed heavily, lifting his arm to slick back his hair, his ripped muscles flexing with his movements.

Three years ago, after Skylar just arrived, broke up with him, and disappeared, he spent the first few months sulking around like the others. Until it hit him. He wasn't going to waste the rest of his life feeling useless. So, he began to change things around the Compound. He would work on not leaving Natasha nor Tristan alone. Their bonding was quick.

They would talk, laugh, play around, and help each other out. But any mis said word would change the whole mood. It was now easy to break.

Ryan then had a sudden urge to just be like the others. Stronger, faster, and smarter. It kept Natasha busy as she began to train Ryan. He dedicated every second to his training and never backed down. He pushed himself.

Three years later, he was sharp. Mentally and physically. He chose a crossbow as a weapon in inspiration from Hawkeye.

Sometimes his thoughts went towards Skylar. He just wished he could see her one more time. But she had left the message extremely clear.

Give me space and let me adapt.

So Ryan had to always push down the feeling of seeing her.

He sighed and leaned his back against the stone cold wall, bowing his head.

-Tristans eyes stayed glued to where Rhodeys hologram once was. Natasha had just ended a meeting call with Rocket, Nebula, Okoye, Carol, and Rhodes.

Her eyes then flickered to Natasha when she heard her silent sobs. Anything sad Tristan saw would break her heart so she had to bit down on her lip in order to hold back the tears at the edge of her own eyes.

"You know, I'd offer to cook you guys some dinner. But the both of you seem pretty miserable already." Steves voice echoed throughout the room. Tristan turned her chair towards the man. Natasha wiped her tears with the edge of her hands and crossed them.

"You here to do your laundry?" Natasha asked. "And to see some friends."

Tristan lightly smiled, holding her thumb up. "Clearly your friends are fine."

Steve glanced down before speaking. "You know I saw a pod of whales when I was driving over the bridge."

"In the Hudson?"
