"AND FINALLY TRY TO GET SOME SLEEP-"
———————————-"Okay here we go! Time travel test number one. Scott, fire up the, uh, Van....thing." Bruce announced. Scott, in his Quantum suit, approached the the vans back door and opened them. The Quantum tunnel came to view, it began to hum as it stirred.
"Breakers are set. Emergency generators are on standby." Steve informed, walking to the group. "Good, cause if we blow the grid," Bruce pointed a thumb at Scott who was fixing his suit. "-I don't want to lose tiny here in the 1950s."
Scott looked up. "Excuse me?" Ryan smiled, crossing his arms across his chest. "He's kidding." Natasha said, glancing at Bruce. "You can't say things like that." She mumbled. "I-It was a bad joke." Bruce replied uncertainty. Scott nodded slightly and stood in front of the entrance.
"You were kidding right?" Natasha asked, her smile vanishing. "I don't know. We're talking about time travel. It's either all a joke or none of it is." Bruce defended in a hushed voice. Ryan raised a brow. "Is now a bad time to say how many things can go wrong? I mean....considering all the movie stuff." Bruce gave the man a look. "Movies are wrong." Ryan's jaw dropped.
Bruce then gave a thumbs up at Scott with a warmly, fake smile. "We're good! Get your helmet on." Bruce stood behind the counsel. "Scott, I'm gonna send you back a week, but you'll walk around for an hour, then bring you back in ten seconds. Make sense?"
Scott waved him off. "Perfectly not confusing." Ryan facepalmed. "Good luck Scott. You got this." Steve said encouragingly. Scott smiled widely. "You're right. I do. Captain America." He was then pulled back into the tunnel. Ryan held his breath. "On the count of three. Three.....two.....one." Bruce pressed a button and heard the whoosh. They looked at the entrance, only to see the face of a younger boy. Not normal Scott.
Ryan uncrossed his arms. "What the-"
"Guys? This doesn't feel right." The young Scott said. Bruce began to panic and put his attention on the counsel. "Who is that?" Natasha asked, looking at Bruce. "Is that Scott?" She frowned. "Yes it's Scott!" Young Scott answered. He was sucked in again, only for an old man to reappear. "Oh my back." Old Scott grumbled. Bruce panicked even more and began to press things rapidly. Steve moved from besides Bruce to give him space as they stared at the old man.
"Can you bring him back?" Instead, Ryan rushed to the panel. His eyes flew over it as he thought of something. "That." Ryan pointed. Bruce slammed a hand down. They glanced back up, then their eyes had to move to the ground-
.......because there was a baby.
Steve nodded. "It's a baby...."
